Can someone clarify something about the Seattle employee tax? Does it mean that one single employee based in Seattle leads to ALL employees wages being taxed or a different tax structure on the whole company? Or is it just taxing that one employee’s benefits?

This is an issue I have with any 'ethnic' hoods- that it's been determined in the last 30-40 years that they should stay that way forever. As such, any decline is decried as 'systematic racism', while any re-upscaling is simply declared 'gentrification'.

Did no one remember that the Bronx was largely built for and inhabited by the Jewish and Italians before the 50s? Same with Harlem- yet it now must be protected forever as an 'ethnic' neighborhood. It's something that's seriously affected the way cities are being planned now, which is why you have to have dozens of community meetings just to build anything.

Was drifting off to sleep last night and caught myself laughing at the CHAZ assigned work situation.
Anybody else remember last month you had useless effeminate gay men and most of the women told that everybody had to do their part for the cause? The most able-bodied men were patrolling the entrances and doling out orders through sheer presence of larger, stronger bodies and maybe a baseball bat.
You had the gays and the women complaining about this on twitter, but never confronting the fact that their place in the world with the civic privileges that go with this are only made possible by complex legal infrastructure of the free and open society they're seeking to undo.

Anyway what got me was this is a perfect replication of cavemen dynamics. The bigger apes intimidate the smaller ones into line, and these wokesters were relegated to doing domestic tasks for the larger groups like food preparation and washing clothes.
I can't wait for some cultural studies alumni in 60 years to come along and cite this instance of gay guys and tech geeks who've never lifted anything in their lives being forced into doing work alongside 'the ladies' as proof of creating new, dynamic genders.
They do this a lot already with Native American and Asian cultures, where men that are just too useless for conventionally masculine stuff are shunted into a separate grouping (probably derogatory) and this is hailed as a progressive victory for me millionth gender, when all it really was is finding something productive for a minority that other societies either killed or allowed to die.
