Carmen Best and every leadership in Seattle is incompetent anyway. Jenny Durkan is a lesbo who got into her position through LGBT nepotism, but even she is more likely to reign in this nonsense soon, just as she pushes back against Kshama Sawant (although not enough, to not hurt her progressive creds) on the Amazon stuff, if the city starts taking too much of a hit. She is still a little more responsible than all the children around her but not by very much.
Not sure what to think, though. This virtue signaling nonsense right now is the best she apparently has to offer. The same shit, every day. If nobody speaks up, nobody is responsible for the consequences when they all run off the cliff like lemmings.

Frankly, someone should introduce them to Lysenko's teachings and tell them it is suppressed knowledge, made unavailable by capitalists and reactionaries to keep a tight lid on food production and thus control over the masses. it's funny, assuming you have a piece of land available, it has never been easier to learn farming.
Due to illiteracy, for the past 10k years you had to learn it from your parents, everything went through words, nothing was written down.
Not only is all agricultural knowledge now written down, it's been perfected throughout the last 200 years and readily available on the same device that brings them Twitter.
It's so easy to learn about agriculture and keeping your population fed, yet they can't even be bothered to do that.
Anyone who thought this was going to be more than a 2 week farce is stupid imo, there's a reason why succesful rebellions and revolutions tend to start in rural areas and the countryside.
Any group that finds reading Wikipedia too much work is never going to start a succesful revolution or overthrow any country, let alone the US of A
