I have known several suicidal people and I have read/seen a lot about Chris. There are a few differences between them which makes me not too worried about Chris.
1. Chris seems more angry than depressed most of the time. Most suicides, with the possible exception of murder-suicides, are done out of depression, as opposed to anger.
2. Chris is sad/angry about some specific things. You can debate the merits about whether he is hard done by, but he definitely feels it. Suicide is generally associate with depression, which is a mental illness. Depressed people feel down for no particular reason. They can often say things that are getting them down, but that is telling the story backwards. Chris believes, rightly or wrongly, that there are specific obstacles to his happiness. Depressed people cannot be happy under any circumstances. That is a lot of the reason why depressed people are suicidal and Chris isn't.
Basically, I don't believe that Chris suffers from depression, and thus he probably won't kill himself. I hope that if I am wrong, he seeks help.
