The site is an massive resource when it comes to lolcow culture, and Null and most of the community have been fair in either staying out of way of, or even assisting lolcows who are looking for help. Chris being the best example. But one of the defining features of freedom of speech here (within reason), sometimes hits territories that can been seen as unethical or controversial. Primarily doxxing and in some occasions, alerting people in the lowcow's life to their online nature. Not to comment either way on it, but as much as a resource kiwifarms is, commenting on it or associating with it in a positive light can attract opinionated detractors who vilify anyone not condemning the website or those on it.If you're interested in lolcow culture, I don't see how you can be against the site. Even if you're against the culture and by extension trolling as well, I don't see why in that circumstance either. We are not a community dedicated to trolling or fucking with people. We simply like to document both the antics of cows and the trolls that fuck with them. At our core we are just a variance of the 90's audience that enjoyed the trashy entertainment that grew throughout the decade.
This community and it's owner went out of their way to help Chris while trying to protect him from trolls looking to fuck with him. When the crime was ultimately revealed, this community played a part in exposing the psychopaths that helped egg him on.
In my opinion, I appreciate the ability to find strange individuals at a click of a button, and get hours of entertainment, but I can understand why someone wouldn't like or want to be associated with this website if they don't have to. It sucks there's that reputation, but I think it's understandable.
