Yes, gross fucked up shit like this happens pretty commonly and it never gets any ink but that’s because it doesn’t usually involve a infamous Internet personality that has had a niche online following since the dawn of the World Wide Web. Chris has been exhausting documented online for over fifteen years.

The story will get big numbers of easy click so it will be a nearly irresistible clickbait story for some outlets. If you’re a writer that needs to reach an audience metric goal this is an easy story to do it with. The “political outrage news machine” will use it because it’s a transwoman raping his mom and that the type of news stories right wingers love.

I don't know anything about female prisons and I only know people who went to men's prisons, so assuming he goes to one of those: Chris is trooned out, autistic, and he's in for sex crimes so nobody is going to defend him. He'll be force to bunk with people who have done similar crimes (pedophiles, child abusers, animal abusers, other rapists). People will take advantage of him constantly by making him do chores and by stealing his food, extorting him. He's going to break all the rules, squander every second and third chance people give him, and just generally piss off the other inmates until they get violent with him and he's forced to go to protective custody, where they usually strip you naked and shove you in a concrete box with a plastic mattress and a toilet where the light stays on 24/7. Plus in PC they bring the meal trays to your cell and only let you out like once a week to shower.

If being incarcerated in the US is extremely unpleasant for intelligent, functional adults who know how to keep to themselves, it'll be hell for Chris. If he knows what's good for him he'll shut his mouth and let the public defender ask the judge to put him in the looney bin.

Honestly, Null is probably the only person to truly care about Chris and Chris’ development. If Null was some teacher or professional Chris was mandated to see on a regular basis before the height of the trolling sagas, Chris could have had a chance to be better functioning and have a better way to handle the eyes of the Internet coming his way. And he’d put out his comics more regularly, for better or for worse.

There’s professionals to teach what and what not to share. And to guide them through their many issues. Chris never got any of that in the formative years. Autism is not an excuse at 39 years of age.

Can the prosecution simply drop charges in exchange for Chris agreeing to do x amount of time in some mental health program? Because if yes, I totally see them doing that. They'll probably want to bury this emnarrassing, high profile social services fail as quickly and quietly as possible.
