Chris has finally realized that, if he can't be loved by the people of Virginia, he can at least be feared by them.

Oh boy, it's escalating again.

Chris is really has no idea where this path he is on leads does he, he is going to get in trouble again before the February court date and he is going to use the pepper spray again the next person he uses it on isn't going to be as lucky as the GameStop guy neither will Chris he is going to say this to some one who won't back down and he is going to get his arse handed to him.

Captain's Log, January 5th 2015. Snake carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city's afraid of me. I've seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of prickly wicklies. And when the drains finally scab over, all the DANG DIRTY TROLLS will drown. The accumulated filth of all their hanky panky and.... yuk! will foam up around their waists and all the Gal-pals and JERKS will look up and shout "Sonic's arms are blue!"... and I'll whisper "No." Now the whole of Virginia is for virgins staring down into basically promised bloody hell. All those jerkops, and manajerks, and W-M-manajerks; and all of a sudden no one can think of anything to hmm, um, yeah. Beneath me, this awful city, it screams like a Manchester High School full of slow-in-da-minds. And the night reeks of mace and kick the autistic.

On topic with the post, I like how Kenneth's comment totally ignores the whole "i'll pepper spray the world" part and just focuses on the moving part. I think that's pretty weird, but not enough to talk about in depth. Pretty sure everyone is trying to avoid upsetting Chris now that he has threatened anyone who upsets him.

Chris gets a small, minuscule amount of power(having pepper spray) and goes completely off the rails.

Shocker.

Speak for yourself. I was always confident prison was his destiny.
I'm pretty sure most people expected this knowing Chris's history when thinking he has the upper hand. (Not that he really ever has but he tends to think he does for some strange reason)

It sounds like he's concocted some type of 'stand your ground defense.' He seems to honestly think that private businesses shouldn't be allowed to tell him to leave or stop destroying their property, and that if they do, he's justified in physically attacking them. I get the feeling judges aren't going to agree with him.

Whatever poor public defender gets assigned to his defense is going to have a bear of a time just getting Chris to shut up. If he breathes even a word of this, they're likely to throw the book at him.

What SEGA will heard?

Heard of "unkown transvestite spraying pepper on Gamestop Employee over Sonic arms" on the weird news segment? Yeah, people will have a side with you allright.

Also, "positive like me". MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

EDIT: I realized this is the same post of the other thread. Can mod combine them?

I'm pretty convinced that Chris is bound to be institutionalized. The real question is just for how long. Now that he's maced someone once and only spent a couple days in lockup, he actually thinks he did the right thing as evidenced by his gloating about the assault and threats to mace even more staff. Either he goes away now and gets some tough love treatment, or he'll repeat this behavior and they'll have no choice but to put him away.

The "spray myself" thing is bizarre even by Chris's standards. Any chance he picked this from TV? Chris considers himself a "badass" now, could he be emulating some comedic blowhard "tough guy" who is so tough that he can even shoot himself?

I might disagree here. The PD is qualified in the law, but he's not a psychologist. It's his job to get the best legal deal for his client, but the court won't expect him to judge his client's mental state beyond a basic level. Last time, all that meant was a cursory psych eval; I don't see the court re-examining his competency this time when they already satisfied themselves.
But I'm not talking about an overworked, understaffed Public Defender, though admittedly the term "competent" is probably not the right one. Most public defenders are very competent, but generally lacking in resources and time.

I was talking about the kind of counsel that the wealthy retain when their own little silver spoon angels persistently get themselves into legal difficulty. The kind of counsel that costs money. Serious money. The kind of money Chris and Barb no longer have to spend on his defense.

Not that Chris or Barb would listen to such counsel even when they are deeply out of pocket for it.

All that being said, I have no doubt that this will not be the last time Chris gets himself into this sort of trouble before the hard learned lesson finally sinks in (if ever). Given a record with enough repetition even the most overworked public defender will be able to suss out Chris fairly handily. They might not get into depth for all the whys and wherefores of his psychology, but it doesn't take much for experienced public defenders to identify problem cases like Chris is. Hell, five minutes simple conversation is probably enough to learn he has no qualms about re-offending, never mind why.

Also this isn't a matter of officially ruling on Chris' competence; it's simply a matter of a lawyer advising his clients what's in their best interest long term. An attorney doesn't need a competency ruling to advise his client to keep as low a profile as possible by whatever means necessary, and Chris needs to stay the fuck out of public spaces for a while.

Speak for yourself. I was always confident prison was his destiny.
Chris is a classic example of the type of street person who spends his life alternating between the streets and incarceration in some form or another. He's just not there yet. The only thing unique to Chris' case is we get to see it coming. And while I personally would prefer he get his life back together (who wouldn't?), I don't see that happening short of a miracle.

Edit: Well, not back together, obviously.

No, I think he's trying to use some childish legal defense of "Look, I got sprayed too! You can't arrest me since we both got hurt!"
He's trying to use "Stand Your Ground" as a defense for committing willful trespass. Who knows what the fuck he's thinking? Not that we really have to understand his underlying thought process to know that this will not end well.
