I can't be the only one still paying attention to this human trainwreck who just finds his mind bizarrely disengaged from reality. Like, I can't even fathom how SEGA even factors into it, outside of being a background factoid. Is it really just autism anymore?

It was never just autism. The magical formula looks something like autism + latent narcissism + continuous, lifelong indulgence by incompetent, stupid, negligent caretakers and other figures of authority + an uncanny ability to avoid any real consequences for his actions that can only be described as luck.

Reading between the idiot lines, he's basically itching for a fight now. It's not leave him alone or he'll assault you. It's make his life wonderful or he'll assault you. 2015 is the year, people. I hope he gets through it alive.

God, there's so much in this post...
1. There's a really early episode of South Park where the boys go hunting, and Uncle Jimbo explains to them that in order to kill anything legally, they have to pretend it's self-defence. The joke being that they just shout "Look out, it's coming straight for us!" whenever they see any animal. And Chris has, entirely seriously, developed the same mindset. He wants to hurt people and he's literally looking for an excuse to do it. He doesn't get that proving you did something in self-defence isn't just a case of saying you felt threatened. "Yeah, there were four of us with guns, but he said some frightening things!"

2. "I Sincerely Wish people would positively Like me." Just as Chris thinks of relationships in purely shallow terms, it seems like he's trying to do the same with friendship. If he scares people into never doing anything that gives him prickly-wicklies, that's the same as everyone liking him. Somehow he thinks being the playground bully is a valid life strategy. Aged 32.

3. What does he think Sega's reaction is going to be? Assuming they don't throw his letter away, the best he can hope for is, "Huh. Turns out Blue-Armed Sonic is unpopular with a violent prick, but that's okay, he's been arrested."

4. Is Chris assuming that everyone in the Ruckersville/Charlottesville area is going to read his Facebook?

What's provoked this desperate need for violence? Has he stopped masturbating altogether or something?

I can imagine Chris' next victim: It'll be a male employee of a big box store asking if he needs any assistance.

"Excuse me sir, do you need any help finding anyth..."
"DON'T CALL ANYONE" *Sprays*
"AHHHHH!"

That's been a fairly common thing for Chris, post something publicly and just assume your intended audience (and only your intended audience) will find it

My theory is Chris thinks he's taken control of his life again thanks to the spray. What happened at Gamestop opened Chris's eyes to the joy of being in charge for probably the first time in his life. That he got away with his bullshit at Wal Mart seems to have only deepened this conviction

The most concerning thing is he probably thinks this is fair warning. As in, if you get pepper sprayed it's your own stupid fault, you should have read that one Facebook post and taken heed!

I go on the verge of being off topic here, but where did this mentality come from? Sure, chris has always been a little fucked up in the head, but he wasn't ever aggressive. Has his home situation caused the deterioration? Some have mentioned Bob dying, but his mentality didn't start to deteriorate to aggression until much later, leading me to believe it's some other factors at play. I understand the lesbian transgender issue, but surely there's more at work here.

I think that this aggression and desire to last out at the world has always been there, up until Chris discovered pepper spray he was afraid of the post-assault consequences. I mentioned this in another post, that I firmly believe Chris believes from television that women who "defend" themselves with pepper spray are not just immune from arrest or consequences, but are lauded as heroes. Since he identifies as a tomgirl, he feels he's just as entitled to this perk of womanhood as any other gal about town.

Oh man. We haven't seen the last of the pepper spray, have we? With Chris's increasingly erratic behavior and warped view of reality, I can't see him lasting until February without getting into another spat with some poor retail worker.

I really hope this sort of stuff is admissible in court. I hope the PA thinks to look up Chris's facebook. The judge needs to see that Chris has stated that he's threat to anyone who "stresses him out".

Problem is while a pepper-spray is self-defense weapon it doesnt stop everyone dead in their tracks. If Chris tangles with the wrong person, someone who is resistant pepper spray, he is most likely gonna end up in the hospital. Not to mention if the attacker carries a weapon too.

I don't think we need to psychoanalyze Chris here, I think his own explanation is good enough. He gets extremely stressed out by confrontational situations (due to autism) and he thinks the pepper spray is an acceptable way to get people to back off so he can escape the situation.

I would hazard a guess (just a guess - don't ask me to fathom the way an exceptional individuals' mind works), but I believe Chris is taking a leaf out of Barb's book regarding the whole spraying himself bit.

She has taught him that self-harm is the best way to get results from people who won't do exactly what you want.

Trouble is, the law isn't Chris; it won't go out and get the q-sands regardless. It instead will lock you up and/or send you for psychiatric evaluation should you threaten to harm yourself and/or others.

You know what's a more acceptable way of avoiding stress from confrontational situations? Not causing confrontational situations in the first place.

Seriously, no judge is going to take "It was self-defence, I was in a store I'd been banned from!" as an acceptable reason for causing a ruckus.

I am increasingly concerned.

I think we all are at this point. Chris appears to be spiralling out of control. The pepper spray has given him a newfound sense of empowerment so now he's on a mace-fuelled power trip through Charlottesville. This would be hilariously funny if it were the plot to an episode of The Simpsons, American Dad or Family Guy; it's not so funny when it's real life and some poor sucker at GS, Target or Wal-Mart gets maced because Chris is trying to compensate for decades of feeling weak and vulnerable.

As badly as things have turned out, I think they could get much, much worse if Chris does not learn to rein in these impulses - and we all know there's zero chance of him exercising any kind of self-control.

"I Have to defend myself to get any respect."

He won't get any respect. Not even here. Ever. And what's with the spraying himself thing? What...?

This is gonna get worse and worse.

I kinda think you got that wrong.
Everyone is prejudiced towards Chris, his autism, his family/mother, his tomgirlism etc. Thus they discriminate him and dislike him for reasons he can't fathom or change. Mind you, he sees nothing wrong with how he treats 'friends' or how he behaves in public.
So he wants to be liked but since people are massive assholes for no apparent reason, he's unable to change it.
So he settles for the next best thing, which is 'respect'. And obviously anyone telling Chris 'No' or 'You are not allowed to [x]' is not giving him respect.
Chris might think they don't respect him for being weak and powerless, so the pepper spray is his gamechanger of choice. Someone is telling him something he doesn't like not giving him the respect he deserves? Threaten them into submission.
Chris always had power fantasies and the pepper spray finally made him able to live them out. He's the perfect example of a meek, weak loser that suddenly has some sort of power at his disposal. He's drunken with his own power.

He's not contacting them himself, he's asking his 'support troops' to do it for him. If I was willing to believe Chris subconciously plans ahead, I'd assume he's doing this to later have the option of blaming Segas inevitable silence on his support troops not doing it right.
But it's Chris, so it's more likely he's just lazy.
Goddamn, this seems to be the most important issue Chris ever had in his life and he can't even be arsed to write his own letters.

The aforementioned lack of respect might be getting up to him. He figured that if people at least respected him, noone would give him shit. So he threatens them, cause that will make them respect his 'strength', right?

I can totally see Chris trying to stirr up some shit, defend himself with the pepper spray just to find out it is too empty to down the other guy but full enough to get him really pissed.
Frankly, I couldn't give less of a shit if Chris gets his shit slapped after such an escapade. I don't want this to happen, of course, but if Chris manages to piss off someone that roughs him up a bit I'm not gonna pity the fool that repeatedly jabbed the sleeping lion.

This.
Let's just hope he doesn't come to the conclusion that the pepper spray is no longer effective enough to get respected and he tries to get something more powerful.

I'd feel sorry for Chris if he was the victim of an unprovoked assault, but I think at this stage it would actually be good for him to get beaten up for his pepper-spraying (I know, I know, :alog: ). Right now, he's on a power trip. The pepper spray might as well be a nuke - he's convinced that he's a one-man reign of terror and Virginia will soon be trembling at his feet. If he tries to pepper spray someone and gets a punch in the face, it might serve as a lesson in humility. Or at least a lesson on what happens if you act like a lawless prick. Bonus points if the person doing the punching says, "I'm sorry, I felt threatened."

Well, don't get me wrong, if Chris was attacked for no reason I'd feel sorry for Chris and think the other guy is an asshole.

But if it's the outcome of Chris trespassing/vandalising, throwing a hissyfit when confronted and trying to escape via the JERK-repelling tard-spray, I'd say it serves him right to taste some of his own medicine.
