Someone told Chris about Barb’s accident and how other family members were helping her. But beyond providing necessary information about Barb, they probably don’t want anything to do with him. (They might have just told his lawyer, idk)

Chris’s aunt was willing to let him stay with her after he was kicked out of 14blc until she found out why he was kicked out. If we only have Chris’s word that all contact had ceased, I’m not inclined to completely believe it.

That's just how jail works in the US. Unless you get bailed out, you're held until trial, and his trial date keeps getting moved back because his lawyer keeps filing for continuances. It's not particularly unusual for people to be in jail for years awaiting trial.

People who are almost certainly going to serve a long sentence often delay the trial because sometimes, you get more credit for presentencing time than afterwards, and because they might as well get started on it.

I'm almost certain Chris is still there just because he's a moron.

Check out the message to John Kyle. Chris says that Cole didn't invite Chris and Barb to his wedding. John, Cole's brother in law, says that Cole never mentioned Chris to him. A quote from Chris:

No, Chris, much like myself, your "family" tolerated you because you (up until your descent into utter madness and obscenity) because of Barb.
 
Fuck man... Forty? It's just so weird. I always think of him as a kid or young adult.
 
I wonder if Chris has come to the realization now, that his life is fucked up/about to be more fucked up (upon release), since he's been in jail for about two years? With out his outlets such as drawing or writing letters (he could be writing them, but not sending them), I figured, something in him has snapped.

Chris has always been a media sponge. I remember in Null’s MATI reaction stream to the “Judas Moon” letter that Null inferred Chris was drawing inspiration primarily from a prison Bible given to him. With months in the slammer even drawing that must have worn thin on him.
Those reflexes will have gone to rust when he gets out, so tl:dr

Chris was already delusional from the very start, ever since he kickstarted this whole Sonichu shit and his Transgenderism comes from being surrounded by gal pals all the time instead of guys. All of it just a coping mechanism to escape reality, waiting for a merge and ascension to godhood that will never come.

The best trolls were the ones that allowed Chris to make a fool out of himself naturally like Liquid chris and Alec. They simply allowed his negative traits into the open and chris still act like they weren't negative or not as bad as they seemed...or chris would just naturally reveal things that made it all even worse...like that time he admit to Alec that he believed in a Who Framed Roger Rabbit styled world, the proto type of the dimensional merge nonsense.
