I have to wonder if Chris didn't subconsciously want a vacation in jail. He didn't get his boyfriend-free girl, he didn't get Sonic's arms restored, and probably didn't get anything else for xmas that he felt entitled to. Isn't there a load of work scheduled to begin with moving back into 14BLC?

I strongly doubt Chris pulled this stunt to avoid doing manual labor for Barb.

If he hadn't gotten in trouble on Friday, Chris would be at home, and he would be helping Barb move, if that was the plan for the week. He wouldn't be happy at all about it, but he would still help Barb and not defy her wishes.

Here they were settling in for a quiet post-XMas week with the only expected posting activity about Chris to involve speculation about the move back into 14 BLC. And then Chris has to stagger into a Gamestop without warning and hump an H-Bomb.

I'm going to jump in here with a couple things I noticed about the video that were pretty striking:

-When he actually sprays the employee, watch Chris' hand movement. Even his hand movement is saying 'Hhmph!'
-1-2 seconds after he sprays the employee, a kid walks directly through the path of the spray.

When the prosecutor sees the video (and I'm sure he will), between the tone of his voice, the 'aggressive' body language he displays during the act, and the fact that he came very close to injuring a minor in the process, this is going to be a pretty damning piece of evidence.

Even if it was the farthest thing from self-defense, Chris is going to claim it was self-defense. Look at the 10/28 incident: to this day he swears it was all Michael Snyder's fault for rubbing his shins on their unmoving van (and doesn't even get that calling it a "Stonewall Jackson maneuver" or whatever completely undercuts his argument). This time there's video, so there's no question what happened, but he is still going to swear up, down and sideways that he was in fear for his life from the jerkop/troll conspiracy and was perfectly justified in lashing out, also sensory overload autism male lesbian etc.

You are correct. Speaking of the Snyder incident, he went very easy on the Chandlers. He didn't take it as far as he could and asked that Chris receive a light punishment. Now, Gamestop seems to want to take it as far as they CAN take it. Also now he has a track record and probation. Poor Chris will probably not be as lucky this time.

An observation, CWC's wearing those MLP glasses like goggles, I believe he was wearing them to protect himself from the spray. He said that he tested it out and it damn near knocked him out. IMO it's another sign of premeditation.

Possibly, but not necessarily. Chris also wore them to the LGBT picnic because he genuinely believes they look good.

Also I love how Chris tries to make himself seem like he wasn't at fault, and then goes on to say that he had already been aware of the effects of pepper spray because he tested it on himself.

It's Chris doublethink, he claims he didn't know what it did so he didn't mean to hurt anyone, but he also tested it on himself so he could be empathetic with anyone he sprayed. That or he saw all the posts about how people trained with pepper spray get it used on them and thought he should say he had to look more responsible, while simultaneously denying responsibility

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Chris thought that was low profile, trying to hide his eyes or some shit. Chris is very definitely the type to look more suspicious when they actively try to hide, if he just walked in and acted normal (for him) it would be fine

This. Mace turns up a few times in stuff like Family Guy and its just a orange looking spray that makes the victim go down screaming, nothing about the horrible stinging or possible blindness

I think he believes he has it and just doesn't know what it is. He hears Temple Grandlin talk about sensory overload in relation to autism, Chris gets upset when he sees Sonic with blue arms, and the two are linked together in his mind, bam. Instant excuse.

Or he just doesn't know the difference, because his conscious mind just doesn't understand the concept of an alter ego (which Sonic has probably become now that the Sonichus have so many bad memories attached).

Part of me thinks they were worn to conceal his identity, he would genuinely think they look exactly as they do on the character who they're designed after and they cover her eyes completely.
This is also why they fit on his head but are also so tight that they look like goggles, they're designed for little kids and they're meant to be massive on a 6 year old, on Chris they just about cover his eyes. But as far as he's concerned he looks exactly like the pone when he puts them on.

The spray jives with the accounts of him generally being a total pussy. He doesn't have to get within range of being hit back, and he can do it as he runs like a chickenshit.

Not to mention the amount of time it takes for him to even open up his pocket knife. It's really better for all involved that he didn't try using a blade. If he had, he'd be going to prison. No way around it.
