Also, as far as I know, when the picture was originally uploaded, there wasn't even a name associated with it. It was just J. Random Oddball guy. It wasn't until Chris started his Internet whine fest that people learned the identity of the person in the photo. As I said in a different thread, and others have said, Chris brought this all on himself. He should have just left well enough alone. I can't even find the original Something Awful article about him. The majority of the events that we have come to know as 'Christory' would have ever happened if Chris had treated the matter of the picture as any reasonable adult would have; and ignored it.

He blames the pic because it's the earliest incident he can connect to the trolls. In Chris's head, since the picture predates the ED page by a week or so, it must have caused the ED page to exist. He's completely unaware that someone on SA posted a link to the old Sonichu site, causing it to become common knowledge on SA and 4chan. That resulted in /v/ clamoring for IRL information, which led to the photograph and later Chris demanding that /v/ make him heterosexual Sonichu porn as an "apology" for sending him offensive fanart, which led to the ED page.

People are starting to fuck up the word troll as badly as Chris has. A troll is a malicious individual trying to get a rise out of a person or community. If you're using "troll" to refer to people here, you're wrong. Chris flails it around at everyone he doesn't like as a sort of reprimand, but just observing Chris isn't trolling him. The word stems from a fishing practice where you run bait across the surface of the water. Get it? Bait. Fishing.

Chris has a very loose and fast grasp on cause and effect. If one thing happened, then another thing happened that's enough for a causal link. Even more so if he feels the link forged will in some way favour him.

I was on /v/ at the time all of this went down.
Sonichu threads were posted on /v/ (they may have been on SA first). They become an amusing minor hit.
Mimms (although I'm pretty sure he just posted as anon, I didn't learn his name until much later) posted the picture.
I saved it, thinking 'man Pokemon threads here on /v/ annoy me, I'll post this to troll a Pokemon thread sometime since it's what I imagine these guys in these threads look like'
Someone starts a thread on /v/ to the effect of 'I'm making an ED page for C hris-Chan'
I post the pic.

I don't have any proof, for I wasn't thinking any of this would blow up into the legend that it has. But there's my word for it.

That's what he had to say in his latest Facebook post. He thinks it's an embarrassing photo of himself. He isn't doing anything embarrassing by his own standards. It's just a natural candid photo. But you can go mad by trying to understand CWC-Logic
