Chris's spending on iPhone games

But couldn't they endorse a quarter of his tugboat or something? The rage against the Jerkredit Card companies would be epic

You know what'd REALLY incite Chris' wrath? If the credit card companies tried to seize his video game collection to pay off the debts. :P

i know he's dumping a lot of money into these things, but i also can see him grinding for hours because he has nothing better to do. wasn't it brought up in the previous incarnation of this thread that you can grind for in game monies?

That could be true, but from my (admittedly limited) experience with these kinds of games, I believe the developers often try to make it extremely slow and tedious to grind for in-game money as a way to try and push you into buying their in-game money with real money. So while he does have near infinite amount of time to grind for in-game cash, I think it would only be able to cover a much smaller number of in-game purchases and not the huge amount he has right now. Uzumaki also indicated that he has multiples too.

This reminds me of those news stories about kids who max out their parents' credit card on colourful ipad/iphone games because the kids were ignorant of the actual real money they were spending. Of course, they can be forgiven since they are ignorant children, but Chris on the other hand is a fucking idiot. A man his age, autism or not, in his financial situation should know better than to dump thousands of dollars on such useless crap.

It's cluttered... Like the hoard he lives in!

Also note that there are still Christmas trees up all over the city, just as there is at Chris' house.

I love how there's what looks like a carnival right behind a prison. Like others have pointed out, there's no goddamn rhyme or reason to the layout of Chris' city. It's mind-boggling. I would wonder why he's never tried something like SimCity, which would allow him to build a much more detailed CWCville, but we know that's because he doesn't like PC games*, so I guess the question is why doesn't he like PC games.

*Also SimCity doesn't have cartoon characters. He'd have to imagine that Bart and Homer and that sexy Marge lived in his pretend city, and imagining things is work!

For $1000, Chris could clean his disgusting home, buy a gym year long pass/sneakers/shorts and pay for his car to be tuned-up and detailed.

or buy virtual Simpson characters who say one line each. Whatever.

And yet, he still expects people to feel sympathy with him because "doesn't have a lot of money".

gas may be EXPENSIVE, but he can go to springfield whenever he wants.

Chris really needs to be made to understand that he is not poor, and he doesn't deserve the sympathy real poor people deserve. Real poor people have trouble feeding and housing themselves. Real poor people would never have the luxury of dropping four figures into an app that is not even a game. He can't even play it, he just turns it on and taps it and watches it!

Sure.

But then, Chris would need to be made to understand that a LOT of his problems are not actual problems in relation to what most other people deal with. I get that he doesn't have as much money as he'd like. However, as you said, he's not poor, and all he'd need to have more money and a better lifestyle would be to take a better look at his priorities.

But if he had the ability to do that, then he'd have to look at his STRESS and realize that, just like his money problems aren't that bad, neither are his stress levels. He doesn't have to worry about holding down a job, feeding a family, furthering his education or protecting his personal safety. Many people do have to worry about these things. Chris's biggest stress is modnation racers.

And if he could do that, he'd look at the TROLLS and realize that other people have problems beyond JULAY phone calls and the occasional box of diapers in the mail. Some people have actual conflicts with actual people, who try to rob you, endanger your job, sexually assault you, or worse. What Chris has to deal with on a daily basis is less of a threat to him than a flaming bag on his doorstep.

You realize Chris will never think of any of this. Chris will never understand that his money problems aren't problems at all, because he can't for a second compare his life to someone else's.

The buildings you can buy with the "free" grind money are different from the ones you buy with real money, so you can play the game for free but all the "premium" stuff costs money. Chris has all of the premium items, the ones you can't grind for no matter how long you play the game.

For $1000 he could hire a really hot hooker. He could even make real, as opposed to hand drawn, porn with her and prove to the trolls once and for all that HE IS STRAIGHT YOU DAMN PINHEADS!

Or he could go look at Marge's centerfold while he swings by her house in CWCfield lusting away for her once again to keep him on the straight path.

They're about the same, right?

It's been talked about before, why Chris doesn't play SimCity (or The Sims) and make his own CWCville. And while it's possible he played the original a long time ago, judging by the layout of this town, not to mention his CADD work, indicate that SimCity would be too hard and frustrating for Chris. Sure, he could put a jail next to the amusement park, and the mayoral mansion right next to the nuclear power plants. But it would never grow and prosper so he'd become stressed and give up because he doesn't want to play with real world logic.

He can spend literally a grand amount of dollars on an iPhone game, but driving a few extra miles (a gas difference of spare change most likely) to the next nearest Wal Mart, no that's outta the question (it'd bankrupt him!)
It's funny, Chris only cares about the value of a dollar when it might get him some sympathy.

Am I reading this correctly? Did he spend $1000 buying Simpsons clip art for this "game"?

The whole "GAS IS EXPENSIVE!" thing is something that's obviously been told to him by Hoardzilla, and he's just parroting it. Chris has no concept of expenses. He just does whatever he wants until he has no money. Hoardzilla's motive could be any number of things: keeping Chris from going out so he doesn't get in trouble, keeping him home so she doesn't git lone-sum... actually those are the only two possibilities.

There's a few Sonic games for iPhone, they're like a buck or two.
I'm just gonna go ahead and say Chris probably got then.

I remember the Jackie emails saying he couldn't buy a bottle of Khulna for 15 bucks because he needed the 20 in his savings for emergencies, just ignore the fact he wouldn't dig a possible perfect computer out of the hoard and wanted a new one instead.
But yeah, I can hear Barb saying that, I think she still pays for gas.

I think we can update the old racist term, and refer to Chris as "Chandler Rich". His money is only a prelude to poverty.

He probably believes it's true by now. Never mind that a tank of gas would likely last them a whole month, given how short their range is. But of course for Barb those couple of dollars are important for her regular trips to Goodwill to add to the horde.

I doubt she realizes those apps cost money, never mind that he's willing to drop major cash on them. She's just glad he's quiet (and not playing anything too violent) and praises his terrible work, just like she always has.

For $1000, think of all the clubs, groups, organizations, and meet-ups that charge a fee he could join. Groups that share his interests. Groups where he could meet real live girls, and maybe date one of them. You know, like he's always complaining he wants to do.

I think it is just that SimCity doesn't display cartoonish smiley people/animals for him to gawk at. Without that, the game can't feel "real" to him.

If he had any socialization and basic hygiene skills at all, he'd be better off going for that route to achieve his whining desires. But face it, he's the creator of :sonichu: , not :asperchu: , so I say he needs to just pay the heavy premium for second fuck-quest completion immediately as is his manner, much the same way I know there's no chance he exhibited the required patience to grind out all the non-premium items for this digital hodgepodge of bad design presented for all his 'friends' to see.

Thus, we know he threw even more real money than is conservatively estimated by the OP into the mill to speed up accumulation on this front. (So for another $200 or so, he could get into some really freaky stuff with his prostitute alternative to this thing. AUGH YEAH )

Might be an inherited trait on his X chromosome, now that I look at it that way?

Does he still play the Simpsons game regularly? If he filled up his town, he could've very well gotten bored of it and moved on to something else to spend exorbitant amounts of :tugboat: on.

I don't know, but it'd make me slightly less disgusted if he was still playing the game than if he gave up on it and spent almost $1000 on something else.
