I've stayed out of the thread but since the jump I've thought this is mostly real. the shit about Vito being a faggot over people calling him names I knew wasn't a bit, and him and dick have had some sort of animosity for a while. I was going to post it but was NOT willing to go back through episodes of TBP and didn't see the rest of the episode to even know how to identify it, but like 3-6 months ago I woke up hungover on my couch to my youtube having autoplayed an episode that was then-new and there was this section where you could tell their arguing snapped and they were both legitimately yelling at each other for real about something. iirc Dick was berating him about how he fucks everything up and it started as their typical banter and devolved into them seriously dressing each other down and I was like damn I bet this show is close to ending because they are sick of each other. I think what it comes down to is Dick was rolling with the cuties shit and the eric july shit for however long and it dawned on him at some point that by doing that he had really put his eggs in the wrong easter faggot bunny basket.
and Vito is just full of shit. he always pretends like he's in on the joke but it really does drive him nuts his claim to fame is being called a fat pig and the breakdown on his comic's release and success has just pushed him over the edge. he's upset that the only audience he has antagonises him and legitimately thinks that the show would be better if it didn't happen because it would make him feel better, and seriously fundamentally misses the appeal to the people who watch it in the first place. deep down he knows better but he's too stupid to realize the audience is like that to him because he starts shit and does it to them. now, with the riley shit vito just thinks he is better and smarter than everyone in the room all of the time, he has a smug dumbass aura about him, and he cannot take back anything he dishes out. I think all of that at the beginning and his faggy get the cops involved recording shit was all 100% real, but I think dick essentially told him after the end of the show the other day once he was already good and broken from being told they can never talk on the phone again (lol gay) that like if he doesn't goof around with this shit like he did after posting his shower vid and turning it into some wrestling gayfabe, his meal ticket is over and dick will kick him to the curb and he'll have no money and lose the only audience he has and ruin his credibility even more than his late comic.
essentially my point is I think it was all real and Dick let him know that listen you fat idiot you are going to make everything crash down and you're doing it in real time and there is nobody to blame but yourself so you need to suck it the fuck up, turn it into a joke and then claim this heel turn was a bit when it's all over because otherwise you're fucked, and that is going to cost me money too and I'll never speak to you again because I have no need for you and you will have no grift left. this way they can spin it as an own and Vito is so smart what a genius arc, instead of a fat retard who is literally going to destroy the only thing he even sort of has going for him out of ego.
edit: I just remembered something I meant to put on. part of why I knew it wasn't a bit when Vito was mad at fans and blocking them for calling him names and giving the lame excuse that "they were boring comedy" besides the fact anyone with half a braincell could tell he was actually mad to straight up block people who pay him every week, is that he always brings up this weird "parasocial" thing and "boundaries with the audience" so they don't get weirdly attached to him. he's always on about the weight loss gay pirate thing about how much it bothers him because "the fans put too much stake in my wins or failures and make it weird and I hate it", like when that dude a few weeks ago wrote him a gay fan letter and he destroyed it without looking at it and you know what that's about? projection over how fucking weird he is. somewhere one time a long time ago, either in a TBP episode or just some other video Vito randomly brought up how he watched youtubers for years and would think to himself, yeah I know these guys, these are my friends. I
REALLY know them. and how one day he realized he didn't know them or something. and gave this weird ass example another time about how he watched some guy for years on YT and kept hitting him up forever and talking to him and trying to be his friend. I guess they hung out eventually and I can't remember if they had a falling out or not but I think they did and Vito said something along the lines of and then we just stopped talking or something. essentially vaguely proving he's like one of those retards who thinks that a popstar is their girlfriend and had his heart broken by his gay youtube crush and so he projects all of this shit and hates his fans because some guy never called him back or something.
