Probably r/movies. They freak out if you dare to say that capeshit movies aren't at the same level of films like The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and To Kill A Mockingbird.

It actually makes more sense that it would be younger dudes, to me.

If you think all creative output is entirely subjective (as in, nothing is good or bad, because you cannot quantify goodness or badness), and that there is absolutely no line between art and media product (what is being called "content" at this point), it follows that it's "mean" and "nitpicking" to not embrace any given piece of content on the merits of it being a glorious and inherently respectable outcome of "passion"and "hard work." It's not just that "good" or "bad" are subjective at that point--it's that it's irrational, to them, to think good and bad exist. So, if good and bad don't really exist, saying their work is bad? Is just being a dick to be a dick. And, how dare you.

An old dude in the 70's came from a whole different way of thinking about movies.
That's an interesting point I hadn't considered. There really seems to be a weird vibe of big, dumb action/monster/superhero movies thinking they're on par with a deep character-study or experimental films because they're a little bit dark sometimes.

But anyway, surprisingly there's still some salt on twitter about this

And yes, that's another youtube reviewer who gets like 30 views on a video. I don't think CinemaSins is particularly great or funny either, but most of the outrage seems to come from professionally angry people and other small youtubers.

It's been three days. How dumb are people online that they're still complaining about shit like this after three days?

These people do, obviously.

I mean this isn't the internet of old where people would forget about controversies quickly. These days they have to drag them out until they die months down the line.

I like how the most popular line of thought with these bitch babies is that CS is a bitter failed director that "puts down successful movies to make himself and his own work look great".
CS points out in their own Everything Wrong With... vid that never have they directed their own film because "fuck movies".
Yeah nice projecting guys.

I'm not sure what I'm more surprised at: people taking cinema sins seriously or people liking King Kong skull island

Animat is another sperg with a massive Trump hateboner ala Dobson/Goldmark/Chips Ahoy. Forget him.

You gotta love how he nails Cinemasins for being "Nitpicky" and "samey" and how they want people to feel negative about movies, yet he adores Doug-sempai who does the same thing. (and most of his lists and videos are pretty samey too, imo).

(it's sad, tbh, I used to like his Disney videos, but as usual, it seems politics and fame ruined the content of his channel...)

Oh, I know he's a sperg, you only need to look at his 20+ minute temper tantrum over Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 to know that. I just posted it here because it's funny.

People can't take a fucking joke anymore. That's all that this has been, nothing but people getting angry over a channel that's a joke.

politics and fame
:story: lol no.

So let's see...

Director is butthurt because some popular YouTube channel whose whole schtick is to be nitpicky about movies was nitpicky about his movie.

Ergo, the other butthurt denizens of the interwebs decide to express their anger about nitpicky YouTube channel by being nitpicky about what is acceptable as criticism and what is... not criticism...?

And then we look at them and be nitpicky about the nitpickers because that's what we do, and we're damn proud of our nitpickiness about other nitpickers.

When does it loop around the the director gets buttmad about our nitpicking the nitpickers who are nitpicking the other nitpicker for being nitpicky?

Also, I had a chance to see Kong: Skull Island earlier this summer. Decided to watch John Wick 2 instead. Good movie.

And here I thought most people grow out of getting butthurt over their favorite movies being playfully blasted at the age of 16 the latest.

I've never watched or liked a movie that CinemaSins made a video about. These people have shit tastes, and that says alot about these angry tards and it explains why they're salty.

Seeing as CinemaSins makes videos about movies they like sometimes, does that make them angry, salty tards with shit tastes?
