The thing is that he doesn't like it, but he behaves as if he is contractually obligated to always append that it's actually good. I have to say featuring Twitter reply chains with the dev in a review is incredibly unprofessional.

God that game looks like shit, an other example of zoomershooter slop games where you are forced to airdash and hop around at 90km/h like a cracked up schizophrenic while juggling combos and playing Simon Says with enemy types. Throw in some deviantart tier art with awful awful character design, edgy dialogue, youtuber references, and the story going full epic eldritch lovecraft for no reason, and you have probably the most cynical game of this type to date.
I think even Civvie knows this game sucks, but he's buried himself too deep with the incestual relationship he has with these indie devs to be able to critique them. So he has to sit there - looking at this piece of shit - and bite his tongue while saying 'Uhh I like this game a lot I think it might need a tad more polish but I like it a lot it has the sewers and the refernces and gianni is funny voice man'. You used to be cool Civvie, why did you drink the coolaid?

It really reminds me of a shitty Rick and Morty rip off show. My stopping point was having one of the death screens be a reference to Rise of the Triads that only Civvie would understand. The entire game is the Trooner shooter version of this tweet:
Not to mention hearing the heroine death scream every 10 seconds. Actually good games will foreshadow enemies rather than have them spawn and let the player guess the gameplay mechanic before being insta killed.

Good video about a shitty looking game? Unless I'm mistaken with what I'm seeing, I despise the art style where it's a single facing 2D sprite. How the fuck are you making something that looks worse than a Doom monster? The idea of needing to mash space bar constantly to hop around fills me with dread as well as constantly having to melee enemies on top of it all. Game just appears annoying to me and derivative of (IN MY OPINION) the piece of shit trends that nuDoom started and continues to this day.
