and now they attack entire organizations and making them crazy.

Most recent, and what spurned this thread, is CNN losing their shit over a wrestling meme, then threatening to dox a rando if he didn't apologize

Their whole staff is going insane on air, look at Sally Kohn losing her shit over a meme

Slightly disagree, in this particular case nothing bad really happened other than a middle aged meme lord getting embarrassed but i find it troubling that a giant multinational corporation can put its resources into harassing a private citizen and the response is "it was justified because he believed the wrong thing." I'm not sure I want to live in a world where that's a precedent.

"What the fuck, I love when giant corporations use their substantial resources to harass the 99% now!" -Some Marxist on Twitter, Probably

Keep in mind that Ted Turner was the founder of CNN. Here he is talking about soldiers in Iraq.

Eh, that guy was clearly taken out of context. He was saying that the suicides demonstrated that people would rather die than commit murder. I think he's wrong about the reasons behind the suicides because who knows what's really going on, it could be for entirely different reasons. What that does say, however, is that being deployed to the middle East must be a living fucking nightmare.

Sidenote: this article was also archived 8 months ago, so... dunno what the asshole was up to 8 months ago but it was enough to get someone to surface level dig into his shit maybe.

I think it was just a couple people who noticed CNN hiring Buzzfeed writers and wanted to share it, obviously with enough foresight to see where CNN was headed.

(8 months ago was shortly after Trump won the election)

If you can't fight in the sewer then stay the hell out of the sewer, and don't get lured into the sewer by a guy

please no more sewer talk

When there's a major event going on, CNN is the channel you turn to last to see how incompetently they're covering it compared to every other network. They're always the one spewing unconfirmed info like it's fact then back tracking hard. I don't know anyone who watches CNN seriously, left, moderate, or right.

It's crazy to think that 15-20 years ago, they were the channel that peopl immediately turned to see when some major shit went down. And now most people would trust TMZ and EW over CNN

Sadly I have seen many people on social media post almost that exact same thing with complete sincerity. And these people are still too dense to realize they've been tricked into acting as pawns for authoritarians.
