Sciverfrog knows he needs to ride the coattails of SJW hype trains, even in a self contained fart box like (soon to be canceled for the second time) G4. When Sciverfrog decides to really dig into people about CG-adjacent interview ethics, bridges get burned. I personally can't get through Jeremy's extreme close up milquetoast takes for more than a minute or two. But when Jeremy starts drinking, it is instant lolcow content and bridges get burned. So I guess they both kind of cancel each other out over what should be a slam dunk with BPDLGBT GamerFrosk. Ethan's moving into his "Get-Off-My-Lawn" stage of CG as it fills up with crabgrass and grabass.

I can appreciate how "frosk" is short for "froskurrin" which means "frog" in Icelandic. Does that mean Sessler is G4's equivalent of Meyer?

Yellowflash has taken to twitter to apologize to TheQuartering for the stream, which appears to have been erased from youtube.

For his part in the drama, Hambly appears to have forgiven his fellow content creator and has moved on from the whole affair.

In the fallout however it would appear, at least for now, that TheQuartering has cancelled his interview with the delightful young lady from G4, leaving eternal attention whore Vito Gesualdi the last man standing.

I strongly disagree. Would you have ever been aware of Cyberfrog if not for the bullshit about him being fired for voting for Trump and then starting the Comcisgate grift? What audience would he have sold it to without that victim narrative? Go back and watch his pre-CG videos when he was speaking in Mr. Rodgers-like monotone and ask yourself if that guy would've sold several $million in Cyberfrog product (that people are still waiting for a year+ late - again) without the politics stuff.

He was in the right place at the right time. Lots of people were being canceled for their politics and hell he might've even believed that's why he was canned. Denial and a lack of self-awareness could even explain it instead of him setting out to capitalize on that trend (and thats me still giving him the benefit of the doubt). All I know is that when the people he was "at war" with all said it was his laziness and inability to meet a deadline that got him fired - and not his politics - that seemed like a weak, slanderous excuse from absolute awful human beings given the circumstances. Turns out all those blue-haired jannies were telling the truth after all (for once maybe).

He's done real damage now that goes beyond comic books.
I already answered that he could sell hundreds of thousands of Cyberfrog product without the drama, similar to SGM and Scott Snyder crowdfunding.
But you just need to a-log so you skim read and had to get triggered.

PS: I am pretty certain he got in a tough spot with DC for being an abrassive asshole who butted heads with more abrassive assholes. Being slow never stopped an artist with a following to have a career, see Brian Bolland

I'm not sure about that. Snyder is still hot writer after his Batman run and Death Metal was popular. SGM had just done, if I'm not mistaken, White Knight, which was a big hit. EVS by comparison was drawing Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps for last few years before he left. Getting 6 figures might have been a struggle for him.

Comfortably making $250K per year in mainstream comics, even at the end.

I wasn’t butting heads with anyone. I wasn’t missing deadlines. especially not on Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. I was a new dad and taking every bit of work I could get, trying to be a workhorse.

Both of those narratives are lies to make it seem like I was at fault, because SJWs prize victimhood and don’t want me to claim mine.

The reality is that I was a loudmouth conservative on social media, reposting Breitbart articles and making fun of Liberals. It really bothered people. When I voted for Trump, leftists came after me. I made sport of them, thinking I was invincible. When I began associating with Diversity & Comics, I began receiving concern trolling threats from big name writers.

People don’t get cancelled for being dicks or late on projects. That’s not reality.

I have just the thing to inspire Fatman the Human Flying Saucer into action!

Look, you replaced this guy didn't you @FROG? Imagine if they made one of these shows about you! Lol!

So what sort of motivation do you think it would take to get you back to that?

Sincerely asking. If this is something you're really capable of then let's get you back to it, eh?
When I was working for DC Comics, my only job was to draw the script they sent me. I had no other real concerns. I'd travel to conventions sometimes. Under those circumstances, I could get 140 pages and some covers out every year. Most weren't my best work, but when that's all I'm doing, that's what I can do.

I am now doing everything a creator, publisher, fulfillment service and toy manufacturer does while running a YouTube radio show to promote it all. I will never be able to go back to grinding out quick work for a big company.

I do recognize that the deadlines I set for myself need to be less arbitrary, they need to be met, and they need to anticipate the workload that may increase in the future.

You don't seem to understand that 'bothering people and making fun of liberals' qualifies as 'butting heads'.

That takes a special kind of stupid. You didn't believe people got canceled until you got canceled yourself. Then suddenly you're the champion against cancel culture? lol. That actually makes you a coward, Froggo. Heroes stand up against the grain and fight for the rights of others BEFORE they are thrown out of the party. You got tossed out into the cold before you joined the fight. Congrats on making millions being the champion of covering your own ass.

No, you a-logging retard.

I didn't know that being "cancelled" existed back then. It seemed like an insane conspiracy while it was happening to me. I never heard of "Cancel Culture" and didn't understand SJWs.

And posting political opinions to my social media that the majority of freelancers in my profession disagree with wasn't "butting heads." Nobody forced anyone to join my facebook to read them, or gossip about my beliefs. I didn't talk politics at conventions, except with likeminded friends like Billy Tucci. People chose to be offended that I voted for President Trump. People chose to send me weird emails about how my vote "threatened queer existence."

Meanwhile, they were all posting off the wall left wing batshittery, and still are. If it was a matter of general decorum about never discussing politics regardless of your views, I'd understand. But this bullshit went one way, and everyone knows it.

You sure can pick 'em.

Doesn't know arguing politics with co-workers is 'butting heads'.

Calls me 'retard'.

Case closed.

Year of Forgiveness Update: Yellowflash wound up apologizing to Quartering and Frog, while not as remorseful for his online conduct, treated his audience to this heartfelt recollection of the events that led these two youtubers to cross paths in the first place:

So the makers of Kamen America have teamed up with Mark Kern's new game Em-8ER. He was originally the lead dev of WoW. Before moving on to Firefall. A game I doubt many of the people in this thread have heard of. That's not too relevent to this other than to mention that if you liked Firefall, then Em-8ER is a spiritual sequel to that. Gameplay wise. So a focus on suits of armour and fast mobility similar to arena FPSs. But in an MMO.

Mark has been Comicsgate adjacent on Twitter for a while now. But you probably never heard of him before now.

I've watched Mark's interview with Nick Rekieta and I thought at the time that maybe Meyers could work with him for a Jawbreakers video game.
Not anymore.
Continuing the Jawbreakers franchise doesn't seem to interest him, much to Frog's chagrin, and we all know how the attempt to base his work off of "customer service" went.
Still hasn't fulfilled Book 3. (:_(

Vito can go join @PocketJacks in the Pegged Club.

CG is him hitting seven figures crowdfunding and having an army of paypigs supporting him with superchats so he does not have to publish a new Cyberfrog comicbook every six months or do commissions.
Same applies to most of the pros of CG, who mostly are hasbeens (Art Thibert, Graham Nolan) or litteralywhos (like Jon Malin)

The FM guys are just that, the FM guys and they have nothing of value to offer but their youtube grift. People like EVS or, hell, even Mike S. Miller do have marketable skills to offer but they would rather be youtubers.
I can basically summarize everything you said here in one sentence:

YouTube was a mistake.

At least insofar as CG is concerned. I am convinced 90% of their problems would magically go away if they shut their fucking cameras off and got some work done.

Anyone else find it funny that Pearch is completely above any drama on here and finds it funny that anyone who talks about him but the alpha anti-snowflake, soy-slaying Comicsgate big dogs are on this thread desperately defending their honour?

Also, that Malt Liquor guy is retarded. I honestly can't imagine how low your self-esteem has to be to a) care what he thinks b) actually try to impress him. If you can last more than a few minutes of one of his videos you must've had a bad head injury recently.

Yes, I too find Perch's le enlightened centrist vaguebooking on social media whenever he's brought up here funny. Jon Malin's attempts to impress the malt liquor guy are also must-watch viewing, agreed agreed.

Anyways,

Comicsgate Financial Review - January 2022

Between the launching of Jon Malin's Graveyard Shift 4, Graham Nolan's Giant Sized Two Fisted Manly Tales and the improbable success of Mike Baron's Thin Blue Line (having a second appearance on Fox and Friends to promote the comic just yesterday) Comicsgate had a far stronger start in January 2022 than it did in January 2021, raising $411,569 in total, $383,809.00 of which did not include Frog or Richard C Meyer. I don't think there's an especially complicated explanation for this surge; a bunch of larger creators were freed up (thanks to actually fulfilling their campaigns) to create new projects after the holiday season.
