Communists - That time when 100 million people died wasn't REAL communism, comrade

yeah I'd like to read that please
The actual report was very short, if you want to read the whole thing you can look it up, it's literally the first result. But here's a short summary:
" The CIA drew no conclusions about the nutritional makeup of the Soviet and American diets but commonly accepted U.S. health views suggest the Soviet diet may be slightly better. According to the Central Intelligence Agency, an average Soviet citizen consumes 3,280 calories a day, compared to 3,520 calories for the American."

Nigger you're talking about a Reuters article which is talking about a separate report, scanned in by the CIA;

I mean you even quoted the part where it says the CIA drew no conclusions, I also highlighted the part where it weasels out of definitively saying it. "May be, may be, may be!"

I mean here it says the average Soviet citizen eats 44% grain and potatoes.

Oh no, Americans had more choice in what to eat! They chose to eat more meat, sugar, dairy, eggs, and consumed more fats and oils! So horrible, glory to the Soviet Union tovarisch!

I don't disagree, but it's not nearly as bad as people say it was. There are plenty of lies we still believe about the Soviet Union which are complete fabrications, and the supposed "fact" that Soviet citizens were starving is one of them

At least the trains were on time....

My impression is that "lol starving Communist" jokes are mostly based around the famines that pretty much every Communist government causes when their industrialization plans fuck up.

In normal times Communist governments limp along with a basic standard of living but a shitty one.

But, normal Communist times are also something the public doesn't really know much about. All the attention is on dictators like Stalin, Lenin, and Mao, and not on ones like Krushchev.

Normal times for Communist regimes are also less common. Communist regimes have such highly concentrated power that they're just not as stable as functioning democracies.

You know, I always wondered why commies are big on the war machines and skimp out on taking care of the individual soldisrs.

Take the Chinese for example. The average soldier goes without an radio because the two leaders of the company have the only two that were ever issued to the company. He's lucky to have an compass. And they don't even wear body armor over there. In fact, it took them an while to adopt the helmet. In comparison, this stuff is standard issue in America.

War machines cost money and have an intimidation factor. Men are expendable and cheap. Especially with a massive population like China.

They are very stable because they have concentrated power. Democracy is run by infants who are constantly stabbing their constituents in the back. People are always concerned that the communist dictator will be corrupted and therefore ruin the society, but the chance for corruption is far greater in a democratic-capitalist society because there's a lot more politicians. Everyone in a democratic system is trying to flatter each other while in communism the chairman only has responsibility to his subjects and is less likely to be corrupted

Yeah, but if my alderman is on the dole, I don't wind up eating my dog. Democracies and Republics distribute power so that one fit of tard rage doesn't sink the whole boat.

Some people's definition of communism is a school lunch program though.

The only people who worry about Marxism are really wealthy people. They take their worry to the gated community.

The chairmens only responsibility isn't to the people; in a post revolution world his responsibility is to the leaders of the military, they are the ones that enable the continuation of the chairmans power. If he displeases the people then he can send in the army to shut them up, if he pisses off the army he can't send in the people to shut them up.

The chairman's responsibility is to the military post revolution, but after things have subsided and the military has demobilized totally, the chairman can turn to the people. Communist states don't exist in perpetual revolution.

I'm surprised the red scare thing is still going strong. People should be much more worried about corporatocracy and the loss of the middle class.
The fact that seemingly the entire Fortune 1000 signaled their virtue to BLM tells me that this isn't "really" communism but it still is definitely leftism. Don't forget that corporations are legal persons created by the State.

I, for one, no longer believe that Left and Right have anything to do with economics. The sole principle of the Left is hatred and destruction of God's order and will use any vehicle to accomplish that goal. The Right's sole principle is opposition to the Left.

The American ''left'' is more centrist and are also huge corporate supporters.

The ''border issue'' thing is because companies like extracting cheap labor from central American countries and this doesn't seem to be stopping that much with the Trump administration at the helm. Guess who still picks the fruit and veggies from the orchards and farms?

There is also very little evidence that Atheism is ''exploding''. The United States is still exceptionally religious compared to other western countries.
