Some of them also think the class struggle will be Third World vs. Imperial Core, like in Sakai's "Settlers". I kinda agree with that. Sooner or later 3rd world populations will grow way past what primitive societies can handle and they'll come for our shit in the west. There are legitimate Communists organizing in the US. My take is it's a Chinese influence campaign and there are a lot of stupid morons willing to go along with it.

Strike workers from that, and you might be on to something. In the modern age, clicks are the commodity. To political groups, this translates to votes. It would not surprise me if a lot of the "leftist" policies are optimized towards harvesting votes in an analog as to how sites harvest clicks today. The concept of "one party rule" in the US isn't new, just the notion that they might be using lessons learned from internet advertisements may be.

I think a lot of communists don't actually believe it works, they just want to live in a world without rich people, if everyone is poor and miserable then that's at least better than some being poor and miserable and some being super rich.

It's pure sour grapes and cutting your nose off to spite your face.

I believe it works perfectly fine, and it worked as intended. The rich continue to enrich themselves to the expense of everyone else, if the trend continues then living under a capitalist system would be objectively worse than a communist one.
And yes, to an extent, if everyone was "poor and miserable" then society would become better because there'd be no class conflict and a lot of the discrimination we have today would be gone. Communism isn't cutting off your nose to spite your face, it's a clear and rational economic system

Every Communist regime ends in horrible crimes against humanity. We've seen it again and again. It's inevitable. At this point it's happened so many times that we can say that it's a scientific certainty: it's inevitable. Communism = mass murders.

Communism minimizes human freedom to the extent that in a Communist society, human freedom is curtailed for its own sake even when there are no other advantages to doing so.
Therefore, we must conclude that Communism is an objectively immoral system of government.

You'd be surprised. We've seen mixed boogaloo/BLM protests already. Most of those people aren't communist but a general working class revolution would be absolutely possible. You're right that they definitely wouldn't be joining forces with many rich podcasters though, especially not the ones who are anti second amendment.
