The author was Aaron's former high school classmate Paul who is the content director for 6 St Cloud area radio stations. Aaron suggested that this showed that his return to radio may be imminent in light of his alleged plea deal in the case releasing intimate images of Kayla Rekieta.
It now turns out that his former high school classmate Paul is actually an Aaron Imholte alog who says he listens to alog streams "as do several of us in the [radio] building". Paul says Aaron directed harassment at his colleagues when he was still on the radio and "you don't do the stuff he does/did and keep a job anywhere". He says that he was "urged" by several former classmates at a 2023 wedding to hire Aaron.
Paul says he wrote the article last week as a "4-D chess maneuver" because there's no actual proof that Aaron has a plea deal (he has since admitted there is an offer, but no deal, and that he has until April 10 to negotiate it):
