Kanye West has broken Anthony Fantano.
Kanye's new album, Vultures 1, came out 2 days ago, which set into motion this sequence of events.
First, Fantano had an embarrassing meltdown on Twitter in which he posted at least 2 times a minute as he was hearing the album for the first time. Every Tweet was him complaining about how much he hates it and how evil Kanye is.

After this, he did a stream where he listened to the album live, where he cried about it the entire time. Also, the "music critic" literally skipped songs in the middle of them playing because he didn't like how they sounded in the first 1 minute in.


Once the stream ended, he uploaded a video to his YouTube channel in which he outright refuses to review the album. In the video, titled "unreviewable 1", Fantano bemoans that people have been saying mean things to him on Twitter, says that all Kanye fans are evil nazis or nihilistic teenagers, gets angry at Kanye for joking about his wife Bianca being a "reference", amongst other statements like these. He only really talks about the album itself by saying that it's "trash".

For most people witnessing this drama back on Saturday, it all seemed like some petty beef between lefties that would instantly be forgotten about in under a week's time. However, after today's live show, this really needs to be emphasized:

Ethan, his podcast, and their fanbase have all doubled-down by declaring war on Vaush, Tipster, Keffals, and anyone who's willing to defend lolicons and gross sexpests.

The podcast spent nearly 4 hours (in addition to the almost 2 hours from the Saturday show's segment) going through tons of videos, posts, and screenshots of Vaush's degen takes regarding CP, alongside some of the failed attempts by fans and other creators like Keffals and Vaush trying to smear Ethan and co.

Some posts and clips worth highlighting:

Vaush admitted to some of the leaked art saved on his computer being from a lolicon artist (3:32:21), though because he's a porn addict, he thought that the underage girls were shortstacks, like how porn artists draw goblins to appear small and chubby.

Vaush continues to insist that he's been taken out of context and that Ethan's acting in bad faith by regurgitating points used by alt-right nazi pedophiles. Meanwhile, Vaush outright refuses to watch Ethan's original stream and is unwilling to debate with or explain himself to Ethan and co:

TL;DR:
Ethan exposed Vaush's history of unapologetic degeneracy and slimy tactics on a pretty massive scale, primarily towards his show's left-leaning normie audience. At best, Vaush is presented as a porn-addicted sexpest who doesn't see the issue with openly being into degenerate fetishes and kinks within the realm of fantasy; and at worst, he's a CP advocate who's been trying to normalize this shit for years under the guise of 4-D intellectualism.

As almost anyone could predict, this type of career-ending coverage has lead to all his platforms hemorrhaging subscribers + followers, while the remaining fans are coping and seething pretty hard from within their various echo chambers:

Ethan dedicates an entire section of their show ( 1:08:05 - 1:34:18 ) to specifically call out Keffals and Tipster for blindly defending Vaush:

In typical Keffals fashion, we're treated to another round of claiming transphobia, guilt-tripping, reminder of all the good deeds committed, victimhood, and of course, suicidal ideation. That last part in particular Keffals tried to claim that Ethan gave out his number specifically because Keffals was suicidal last year, as if this is somehow a massive betrayal:

Meanwhile, a YouTuber who covers various scams named Scott Shafer (primarily known for going after that shady 'Established Titles' YT sponsor) expressed interest in covering Keffals scamming people with the GoFundMe. IMO, it's unlikely he'll go through with the video or the video itself will be pretty underwhelming. Either way, felt it was worth mentioning:

They altered everything revolving around this tranny character that showed up because it didn't fit with the times as well. The part that shocked me the most besides from the obvious was how the show is now considered old because its from the ancient year of...2007!

This is a huge fumble on Discotek's part, though it's not directly THEIR fault that the dub ended up like this. The state of the dubbing industry is irreversibly fucked. Archive of the post.

Anime and Youtuber crossover drama.

Youtuber JelloApocalypse (Brendan Blaber) the "So This Is Basically" guy and creator of webseries Epithet Erased has basically just shot himself in the foot in the anime industry by helping work on a loose English dub for beloved shoujo series Lovely Complex.

He released a long post which basically amounts to a rant about how much he hated the series for stuff like transphobia and one of the MCs being creepy. He brags multiple times about how he and his buddies "made the show great" and generally just seems to have very little respect for what he was working one. Discotek, generally regarded as one of the better English anime distributors and who the show was licensed by, officially releases a statement chastising him for his lack of professionalism and states they will not be working with him again.
