Are you
tired of Jim Sterling's skits?
Are you
sick of being told Capitalism is bad?
Are you
outright done with listening to a Brit convince you his tits are true and honest?
Do you think Jim is/was
capable of making good points but he's too much of a spiteful, bigoted, terminally-online Twitter weirdo to live up to that capacity?
If you said
yes to any of these, then don't worry.

THE JIMLESS JIMQUISITION

Today's Glorified Recap: Jim Sterling's Loss Of Relevance
For starters,
Jimbo has finally fallen to 750K Subs (a few years ago, he was above 900K and on his way to 1 Million). What's interesting is that the sub-loss has definately slowed down but still hasn't stopped. There's been fun speculation as to what has or hasn't been contributing to it, but the best [autistic] detectives over in his thread [yours truly included] have yet to reach a wide consensus. Debate rages on once a week if he'll actually hit the below 700K, if he'll have antoher "I'm Not Owned" holiday special to go along with it, and if it'll be as good as the first one or as boring as the last one.
But wait, that's not all!
This weekend saw The Game Awards (AKA Geoff Keighley's ME3) and in it saw YongYea be highlighted by Geoff for his voice work in the game industry as well as a role in the upcoming Inside Out 2. While Jim Sterling can brag about his literally gay wrestling (that's not even a joke, it being LGTB and Wrestling are the events' only real characteristics), someone who simply has repeats news articles and avoids saying the stupidest things in public managed to make it into big-budget productions while Jim never made it beyond indie-games for his acting and writing. And given YongYea's criticisms of the industry and AAA's love of diversity, it really makes you wonder what stopped Jim from "making it" so to speak.
But speaking of that event, it was pretty bad, with
Concord especially earning ire as a symbol of everything people are sick of in modern Vidya. A perfect topic for Jim.
So naturally he talks about topics that are two weeks old instead. But do you know who made a timely video? Arlo. The Nintendo Muppet himself.
He made a video on Concord and how it was perfect summation of what's wrong with the industry at large. It was a better Jimquisition than any Jim Episode in the past 5-6 years if you ask me, even if that's not a high bar.
None of these are by themselves newsworthy or community happenings worth. But within a few days, a perfect storm of small events perfectly highlights how irrelevant Jim has gotten. I can't decide if it's sad or funny, but please be sure to stop on by the thread. Maybe even favor it. We talk about video games a lot in there, and I'm looking forward to if Mario Hoops 3-On-3 was a good game or not come Wednesday. Because yes, Jim is so irrelevant that even his own thread gets bored of him and talks about 20+ year-old games instead.
