LONDON — The provider of online message board 4chan has been fined £20,000 by the U.K.'s communications regulator Ofcom for failing to respond to requests for information about its compliance with the Online Safety Act.

Preston Bryne, a lawyer representing 4Chan, said in August that Ofcom had provisionally decided to fine 4Chan for £20,000. Ofcom's statement today confirms that is the case.

Ofcom will also impose a daily penalty of £100, starting from Tuesday, for either 60 days or until 4chan provides it with the relevant information, whichever is sooner...

It appears to be an AI puppet-woman with only the puppet-woman's face being semi-real. I think it may be her actual eyes but everything else is an overclocked GeForge 5090 32GB GDDR7. It also meets uncanny valley territory in facial movements. It may be a bot or some sort of AI overlay.

A gay furry commissioned another gay furry to draw his gay furry character. Then the commissioner dropped the image into Grok and got a shitty animation of the character flexing, and posted it to X/Twitter.

Cue 3.5 million views of controversy, as the entire furry and anti-AI community showed up to tell him to commit seppuku for daring to use AI on an artist's work.

Update to an earlier story ITT:
Captive Dreamer / Avaricum777 got his Twitter account back.
His fellow BAPtist, Anarseldain, got his account back as well.

More importantly, Twitter head of product, Nikitabier, was caught interacting with an islamic user whose handle literally means "death to america" - and that user literally told him to ban Avaricum777 for doxing. Nikitabier obliged. Now his replies are shut off, but by then, they were already flooded with users asking why he took orders from Mr. Death To America. There's also the question of why Elon willingly has this in Twitter staff, considering that this Nikita had a bluesky account that was so suspicious he deleted it. Twitter users found a rabbit hole and many are talking about Nikitabier now.

Milo says he sent emails to get the suspensions lifted.
