This video is a good summary of what went down between Sony and Firewalk, particularly how Sony found itself falling behind in the industry and sought out experienced devs for its live service titles. Probably nothing new for many of you but still good for anyone who doesn't want to read over 115 pages.

I'm honestly eager in regards to the Secret Level episode.

No no, not for the episode itself, I legit couldn't give a fuck less. I want to see if Sony has the balls to use it as an opportunity of some sorts, or if they're gonna be super-duper extra quiet about it. If its the later, it will still bring me great joy knowing everyone involved silently wants to Ronnie Mcnutt.

This is old, but I didn't see this posted in the thread : Concord has an exhibit in the "museum of failure" now, a museum dedicated to massive product failure.

(video on the addition, and the museum itself)
So congratulations, concord will now always be remembered. Not favorably though.
It brings me great joy that the only characters people will remember from this shitshow is fatty fat fuck here or the tranny Blade with dyed hair that might or might not have assaulted a Japanese police officer in a state of mania after being let go from the studio.

Don't forget gender swapped Fat Albert wearing a cheap Doom Guy costume.

But seriously, I can count 6 characters from the entire roster that I can remember, and I only know the name of two: our big chungus Daw and the tranny cop assaulter Bazz.

I think the bucket-shaped robot with god damn pronouns might stick in the memory too. WTF were they thinking with that one?

It's actually pretty good if you didn't follow all the details, and makes some good points, like how utterly insane it was to
  • make a $400 million AAA in a played out genre
  • that is already full of popular games
  • and they're almost all f2p
  • then charging AAA prices up front
  • delivering it several years after it might have had a chance of being a hit
  • made the wokeshit in it even more repulsive and in your face than ever
  • no campaign mode
  • spend more millions on a bunch of "meet the utterly unlikeable characters" video ads
  • don't even show the (mediocre) gameplay until right before release

Basically a perfect storm of incompetence and arrogance.

It's the epitome of a large project made by committee; a committee formed by suits that have zero knowledge, care, or interest in what the product is.

This is because of how a large corporation operates - you have suits that exist just to earn paycheck, assuage their own petty egos, and kiss the asses of their superiors so that they can get a leg up for a promotion. Even if the product fails, they'd get a golden parachute if the company folded, or they just hop on to another big corporation to do the same shit.

It's never about the product, it's about them playing the "game" of corporate politics for their own gains.

I can't watch this guy's videos because it's unbearably obvious he desperately wants to be Internet Historian.

I was thinking the same for years but now at least he's making videos and Historian fell off HARD
I do wish IH would go back to making his old content but he still puts out content fairly reliably on his Incognito and Story Mode channels and a lot of those videos are great (although you do need to put up with a sidekick in most of them).

He is spreading himself too thin in my opinion and can't keep up providing content for all his channels. Didn't he also streams on twitch? I have seen a trend when content creators start streaming and just forget their channels.

I think it's more that he got so much flak for the plagiarism in his Man In A Cave video that he'd rather just do the fun shitpost videos now instead. Far less potential for drama (and much, much easier to make).

He streamed a couple of times during lockdown, I remember watching him play TLOU 2 and his mask slipped at one point because the game was so ass. He stopped streaming eventually, I think he got bored with it.
I think IH in general gets bored with his content if there's no growth or direction to it. He strikes me as an undiagnosed ADHD sufferer but I'm not a doctor, just a former fan. Still like his original content the best and the early("no time to expleen I'm busy!1!" Storymode stuff instead of what it is now.

I think he's a bit like Metokur in that he enjoyed running with an idea for a while but dropped it after he got everything he wanted.

Probably never expected to blow up the way he did either. Going from making little 5-10 minute videos about esoteric 4chan lore to hour-long documentaries about cruise ships sinking is a long, strange trip.

Damn. I wanted to watch the Concord episode but its not out yet. It comes with the second batch of episodes next week. Im not sure I will be able to hold my excitiment!

First DnD episode was soo good tho!
