Dramacow Coraline Ada Ehmke / Corey Dale Ehmke - tl;dr Rules for thee but not for me

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Good thing we don't want her to stop, just watch as she flops around foolishly from company to company in a cycle of endless drama embarrassing herself.
She doesn't have her GitHub job anymore, so I guess the only "threat" she thinks she poses and thinks people on forums and Reddit are trying to defeat somehow by laughing at her without even addressing her directly would be her Code of Conduct. On which note:
It looks like Coraline's own Code of Conduct may be used to ouster Ashley Williams, one of the "kill all men" types on the Node.js board. In short, Ashley has made multiple statements disparaging races/sexes that only Code of Conduct types seem to be comfortable making on their "work" Twitters:

And another Node.js employee had the great idea to get involved and brag about how nothing would happen because "we're literally all laughing at your sorry asses behind the scenes"...

And, long story short, either the initial report, the Reddit post, or the outrage stirred up by @maybekatz's response - supposedly on behalf of Node.js - provoked in an official Node.js response, implying one or both are presently on the bad end of the Contributor Covenant.

heheeehee

I love watching these SJW's getting hoisted by their own petard.

It never ever occurs to them that the very rules they force on everyone else might be used against them.

Delicious irony
SJWs lack self awareness and critical thinking. They exist in the present only and want their feelings satiated right here and now.

This is really funny, I hope this woman is removed from the board.

So this is a very exciting development, although early on in the github issue discussion, a few of the mods seem like they're going to waffle on taking any serious action.

I suggest you read the discussion. Mostly everyone is either in favor of holding these dumbasses responsible for violating the CoC, or they're at least not getting super SJW-ey about anything.

Except... this guy's post.

His shorter post effectively sums up his longer post:
Once you have accepted the premise that "Harassment is harassment", whether directed at an individual or the dominant group in a community, you have okayed systematic oppression of minorities.
:story:

I think that says it all.

IT'S NOT THE SAME BECAUSE PRIVILEGE, WEEEEHHHH.
I would be unsurprised if a new CoC came out explicitly stating that those rules do not apply when "marginalized people" do it against white, straight males. Every new version seems to have more rules, more restrictions with further reach into your personal life (eg. your personal twitter account and IRC username suddenly fall under project rules).

GitHub's SJW clique initially tried to push a CoC which explicitly condoned "'reverse'-isms" and it got so much blowback that they had to bin it. They were able to adopt the Contributor Covenant, so it looks like explicitly stating certain cliques and individuals who have immunity is the threshold where the entire community, and more importantly large donors, start revolting en masse. So any CoC they can sneak into a semi-successful project is blind by design and the most enforceable against the angriest and most toxic members of their community.

Whoops.

Looks like they're trying to implement some weird rule where twitter isn't counted, except it is, when they feel like it: https://github.com/nodejs/TSC/pull/327 (https://archive.fo/RpIz6)

I'm not sure if this is them trying to stop enforcement on the KillAllMen lady while still keeping their double standards. Someone might wanna make a NodeJS CoC salt thread, this probably has a week+ worth of back and forth github, reddit and twitter dramz.

She's fucking dead weight, just drop her.

Too much time bitching about men on Twitter, not enough time writing fucking code. Nothing of value will be lost.

Why do they hire these people? If you hire low quality people, they will hire more low quality people, and then you end up with a bunch of exponentially growing dead weight. Worse still, that dead weight might then try to purposefully destroy you for stupid political reasons.

If they wanted to virtue signal, they should have just put these people in suitably powerless jobs. Something that sounds nice, but carries no responsibilities or actual power. Definitely don't let them near the hiring/firing process, that is suicide.

Really rustles my jimmies to see a culture that should be about pursuit of success and innovation brought down to this level by a bunch of useless idiots. Pleasant to see their machinations turned against them though. One can only hope they continue to accidentally their whole careers, it'll make the industry a better place.

She doesn't even do anything, she's a "community member" (like a beta orbiters, for FOSS?)

Edit, apparently she's being misleading, she's officially part of a the GitHub NodeJS project which is about as official as it gets

Edit2: I'm an idiot, that was a different NodeJS/NPM (NodeJS's package manager) developer, here's the correct person: https://github.com/ashleygwilliams / https://twitter.com/ag_dubs

EditWhatever: I made a salt thread, it might be smart to move some of these posts to it: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/nodejs-code-of-conduct-sjw-salt.33793/

Isn't there a rule against writing your own unnecessary Wikipedia entry?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coraline_Ada_Ehmke
Wikipedos can use any of a number of contradictory and stupid rules to delete or preserve an entry. The real measure of an entry's viability is its conformance to the views of a bunch of losers with nothing better to do with their time. Coraline probably has more allies than enemies in that camp.

The article got nominated for deletion earlier in the year, and survived by mass indifference/sperging by one of the main authors/a definition of "notability" that is totally worthless.

Given that autotune is a thing and anyone can download the cracked software for free the only excuses for putting out vocals this pitchy to my mind is being so tone-deaf you can't tell they're out of tune (and, hey, there are technological solutions for that) or that you think there's some sort of 'rawness' and 'authenticity' present in your unvarnished tortured-cat shriekings. Given the level of delusion evidenced by this particular ladyman I'm betting on the latter.

We're talking about a person who, when told by a session musician "hey, your 'music' is so crappy I don't even think I should be playing notes" thinks it's a compliment.
With criticism Coraline either takes it as a compliment or... well, we saw how that $240k/yr GitHub stint panned out.
