The military shouldn't waste time, effort and resources fixing broken brains, and whipping lazy asses into the bare minimum of shape before they even begin boot camp.

For the same reasons why the military stopped the "Join the military or go to jail" deals that judges were handing out, they shouldn't start up "pre-boot camp conditioning" programs.

Dealing with problem children is only ever going to be a debilitating burden on the military.

The reason the military has recruiting difficulties right now is not because they need to figure out a way to get more rejects into the military, but rather because they need to stop with the woke shit that's causing qualified candidates to reject the military.

There's just no fucking way the dollar amounts supposedly being spent on "le greatest military evar!!!!" consistently gets it's ass reamed and thoroughly kicked time and time again by Vietnamese rice farmers and illiterate goat herders with little more than rusty AKMs and leather sandals. The US hasn't won a single major war in over 79 years- the Italians have a better track record lol. it's laughable people keep projecting it to be a completely unstoppable force.

The U.S. Military is literally not allowed to win anymore as a matter of policy. They basically engage in the geopolitical equivalent of playing Mario Kart with the MatCatz controller because lil bro can't keep up. The rules of engagement for the Army are fucking ridiculous, and it invariably leads to hostage situations, days long stand-offs with an inferior force, and the military basically being used as de facto police, because they're not allowed to just mow them the fuck down anymore. None of this advanced technology and superweaponry the United States has at its disposal is worth a shit if everything has to be this hyper-surgical strike of high-value single-man targets, and "hearts and minds".

It's not an efficacy issue. If the leash was off, we would win every war quite easily, but the goal is not longer total victory, because the pant-shitting public gets to watch everything that happens. There's a moral-political angle to all of this now, so today we play the game of wiping out the major players and occupying a place for 20 years before going home.

I don't think there is fundamentally fixing the recruiting problem. Who are you fighting for, and why? You're fighting for a horde of illegals and junkies that shit up your country and hates you and is backed by a government that hates you which itself is enabled by pig shits who don't care and also hate you. You're not sent to help secure the USA, you're sent to rob a country of its natural resources.
