Not much added to the game except new operation pass, generic skins, generic stickers, and finally the charms added to the game as cosmetic item. The latest update is buggy, slight framerates drop due lack of optimization, and displaying menu always cause the game freeze for about 10 seconds.

Exhibit A: Too late to celebrate LGBTQIAP+ month don't you think? Or perhaps it's a reference to Nyan Cat's rainbow.

Exhibit D1: An awful skin on dual elites as a reminder that Valve hates it since CS:GO days. Worth to note the game will always temporarily ban you for unironically having fun with it whenever using and spam firing it constantly on matches by telling the VAC unable to verify your VAC ban status.

Exhibit E: Charms can be detachable up to 3 times with certain item for a dollar. Detached charm can be reused again later on.

There are 2 kinds of charms added to the game but both look meh so I didn't bother to screenshot it. Watch Anomaly's video below featuring his annoying voice and sponsored gambling CS2 skin website.

Now that you mentioned it, the pass star purchase has now adjusted from 100 stars for 15$ to 40 stars for 16$ and VAC still not working against cheaters and bots.

The netcode/animations definitely feel better so there's that. Still a far cry away from 1.6 or even late GO but at this point I'll take anything. This update made me lose another 10-20% of fps depending on the map so I'll actually have to upgrade my hardware because of fucking Counter-Strike of all things, shit's genuinely unplayable at 200 fps.

Dropping 100 fucking cosmetics and the cynical battle pass (though at least you can't straight up buy the stars anymore) seems a bit tone deaf considering the state of the game but I guess the rent's due for Valve's red-headed stepchild. Gotta make another few hundred million this quarter and all that.
 
New teaser just dropped. This is T spawn. Nevermind, they just dropped the whole fucking map now.

This all but confirms my suspicion that the map we saw in the trailer was quite literally just the map ported directly into source 2, and like Inferno they spent their sweet time cooking something good. Also from the looks of it, and I'm just guessing, but it kind of seems like they're gonna drop the old Soviet and nuke stuff from the map and make it a more modern train station kind of thing. Purely a guess.

Also not gonna lie, knowing this community, I worry everyone's gonna hate on it when it drops. They're definitely gonna make noticeable changes to the gameplay and who knows how that's gonna be received

Edit: also they got rid of the water on Overpass lol

Fuck me I thought cs2 was a separate game. ITS A FUCKING CSGO UPDATE

CSGO is one of the only games I ever purchased. At the time I played it it was low system spec and around 12-15 gb. What the fuck did they do to make it 85 gb. I can't get that 15 gigs version back anymore :(

This is starting to make me hate gaben, I never thought it was possible

Years' worth of new skins, maps, gamemodes, and whatever else. Even just installing CSGO now from the betas tab gives me a 30 gb download, and looking online other people's installs are closer to 20-25 gb, right around that ballpark.

Now add on top of that the jump to a new, fancy engine and all the graphical improvements—textures, models, lighting, cubemap reflections—that came along with it and now my install is like 45 gb (really 50-something according to explorer, but I can't figure out where the discrepancy lies). Think the 85 gb total is just what you need to have both CS2 and GO installed at the same time, or maybe that's what they estimate the game's size will be in the future when all the content from GO is finally in the game, I dunno.

Idk how skins and shite are considered more content considering they ripped out couple maps, I think temple and one more was ripped out, it was office or castle. I liked all the maps and they shouldve kept them. CSGO itself didnt require graphical upgrades, it looked fine the way it was when I played it in 2016 17. Its a multiplayer game, it doesnt need improvements and everything they try to improve turns out to be a downgrade like F2P. Im sad that Im living at a time when I have to say "yeah Im a CSGO vet, I purchased it for 10 bucks back when it was good"

Any Kiwis managed to get tickets for the Austin major in June? That gonna be my first CS event I’ll be able to go since keeping up with the esport since mid 2014, so I’m pretty excited about it

I check the ping is fine. But VAR? INTO THE STRATOSPHERE. One second game is smooth, next second I feel like I am playing from the MOON. I hold an angle and right away FUCKING JITTER CUCKS ME as the enemy peaks and one taps me dead before I even SEE the enemy. CS2 netcode? Trash. ISP? DOUBLE TRASH.

I go to Google “how to fix bufferbloat” and some nerd says “buy router with SQM.” Bro, I JUST WANNA PLAY GAME, not become a network engineer. Why I gotta tweak QoS settings just to have stable ping??? Back in the day, plug cable, play game, done. Now? Gotta fight my own internet before I can even fight the enemy team.

ISP and CS2 collectively feasts on dicks, GG.

Wanted to go but when i saw the presale it was for day 1 and 2 and for $500 suck my dick fuck live nation I blame those faggots. Whatever chinese people can takeover cs it blows now.

Damn bro when did you access the presale? I joined the queue a minute late and ended up getting two tickets in the nosebleeds in front of the stage for all four days for right under $500.

Two days after the presale so i guess thats my fault but i really didnt expect the demand to be so wild but it makes sense since its the first american major since boston if i remember correctly.

Its running using the legacy CSGO build so there should not be any problem whatsoever. The problem is that current-day Valve are not the same Valve that approved Classic Offensive years ago. Just let custom music kits be added via the workshop for gods sake. And fix the fucking anticheat.

Since CS: CO's debacle with Valve has become widely known. This teams probably spent their time pulling together this trailer and filling out the game to coast off the hype for CS: CO lol.

A cope people have had on why Valve shot down CS: CO is that Valve is scared it's going to take people away from CS2, which is ridiculous. This will prove that wrong.
