I remember Chantal distinctly saying that she doesn't understand why people are hoarding toilet paper. She even went as far to say that if she runs out of toilet paper then she would just hop into the shower to clean herself. Yet in her most recent live stream, she complained about there not being toilet paper in stock, but then proceeded to "grab everything" when she saw toilet paper and disinfectant wipes at a convenience store. "I think an instinct, like a survival instinct, in me snapped and I just grabbed everything like a crazy hoarder."
So she thinks it's annoying when other people hoard products, but she does the exact same thing.

Also, non-essential stores (e.g., furniture stores, tattoo places, spas, etc.) are closed in Canada. There might be a few furniture stores still open, but they're starting to close down since COVID-19 is spreading. I believe there are around 200+ confirmed cases popping up every day and it's projected to increase even further over here. Hardware stores are still open, because many essential jobs (e.g., plumbers, handymen) need supplies, but I think everyone (who has a functioning brain) knows that furniture stores are not essential. I guess all those binges have turned her brain into pure lard, which is why she can't logically think like an average person.

Liquor stores are also staying open to keep alcoholics from suddenly detoxing and needing to be hospitalized. Weed was recognized as being useful medically here before it was fully legalized so it makes sense to not take away access to medicine. She’s actually incapable of understanding something that doesn’t effect her.

There are 27 confirmed cases in her city now & possibly a few thousand more out there, spreading the disease. It's estimated her city will see as many as 4,000 new infections per day at the peak & I'm of the opinion the peak is 4-6 weeks away. At this point, I figure she's probably going to get it. She's far too cavalier about the risks & if she understood how shitty a death it is to drown in your own fluids... I dunno; she has an ability to completely wave away cold, hard truths. Here in Canada, close to 50% of our cases now are untraceable, making the need to reduce outings even more important.

The Premier was set to close down liquor & beer stores & weed stores but as he told the public in a presser today - his own Ministry of Health told him that would create issues that nobody has time for right now... LOL. At least he was blunt enough to say that. We're locked down pretty tight but the list of what's still open, albeit with new ways of offering service; is reasonable. There's room for a tighter clampdown when that proves necessary... when, not if. She's going to go apeshit if they start shutting down drive throughs.

Fun fact, my local police force said car thefts are down 25%, B&E down by 75%, (hard to rob a place when everyone is home), but calls for domestics are up 60% That - is going to climb even higher. I don't know how large her apartment is but the way her behaviour is getting even more obnoxious; it wouldn't surprise me if Bibi snapped out of a rage to find his hands around her more than ample neck.

I am so impressed with people stepping up to make masks. I love when people come together to help. Unfortunately, I read they can’t be used, hospitals need a specific type and cotton or cloth does not protect against the virus, the weave is too big. Take this with a BIG grain of salt as I read it in the news and don’t know how true it is - best to call and don’t take a shitposters advice.

But one thing people should know, is that homemade blankets are made for chemo patients, preemies, sick kids and foster kids. All sizes. They are doled out as there aren’t enough, but without powerleveling I can tell you that they are more meaningful than you know. Hospitals are dreary, sterile, colorless, COLD places, and a blanket that’s yours is so appreciated.

If I’m wrong about the masks, keep going but if I’m not, turn them into blankets. There will be more people in hospitals soon, who will love and never forget them. There are organizations who distribute them: Project Linus is one but they are everywhere. I hope this isn’t negative, I just don’t want people to waste time, especially when I know of an alternative.

Chantel’s selfishness just floors me sometimes. Well, all the time. It’s always what she needs. Is she crying that bookstores or Michaels or Blicks are closed? No. Because she doesn’t go to those places or need art supplies (which are just as much a necessity depending on what a person does). She does nothing but eat.

I’ve never seen that platform movie but its people are sent to different floors every day, and on some you can eat all you want and some starve you. That’s it. Boring ass movie about food, like she thinks of anything else.

Who wouldn’t just get a yoga mat and a sleeping bag and make do? Many of us have moved to different apartments and done just that. But she’s way too fat to lie on the floor, she’d suffocate and never get up Maybe, since she so wealthy, she can get a cheap twin (can she fit?) off Amazon or Overstock until things normalize, or get one of those Purple mattresses that are pretty much sold online. Or, bring the mattress she’s been sleeping for 8 years. She might have to sleep on a mattress and not a full bed, but sooner or later she’ll need a grab bar installed above her, may as well install now. her mother has a recliner she can borrow, it’s probably better for her lungs anyway.

Maybe get a blow up bed, Chantel. Nothing can go wrong there!!

I think she's about to chimp out big time. I said yesterday that while the province had clamped down, there was room for even more restrictive measures. The city of Toronto just enacted stronger measures & Ottawa surely can't be that far behind. We're starting to see health care workers infected now & over & above their own health, that puts them out of action for a while, at the worst possible time. With community spread now a given, it seems that normally polite, "mind your own business" Canadians are starting to publicly shame people they see acting irresponsibly. I'd love to be there if tiny, elderly 'Mrs. Gertrude Samuels' marched up to Chantal in public & gave her a piece of her mind for touching everything & not being mindful of others. Her move is looming, she clearly doesn't want to put in the effort of actual WORK to pack up & regardless of what she says, I don't think her new place is of more than basically acceptable quality. Hanging with Peetz might be okay but living with him? Is he even still working with all the shutdowns? I don't know what he does.

In my fair village/city/town, the fast-food places have shut down. Mind you, these are pedestrian-only outlets, so perhaps the drive-thrus everywhere else in the country are still operating; however, it's only a matter of time before they all become delivery-only, and then--who knows?--fear about other people handling food and wrappers and bags may spiral out of control, and so even that option will shut down. While a great majority of us know how to make do with what's in the pantry, this swine has been grudgingly cooking her own food these past few days, just bitchily and crankily churning out inedible-looking dribble and badly playacting as though it's scrumptious,...but we all know she's been stocking up on fast food off-camera.

And by stocking up, I mean in her sofa-sized stomach.

Worse, as she's huffing and snarling about the great inconvenience this virus is causing her, she's basically going out and doing almost daily grocery shopping, rather than loading up on essential grains, condiments, and so forth in order to be able to make the most of her channel and show us what pantry cooking (now becoming a Thing) could really be like. I mean, while adhering to the current norm of no social interaction, Chantal could be amping up views by cheerfully showing us how to make a delicious pasta meal using canned mushrooms and frozen peas, or patiently demonstrating how to easily assemble a lovely rice bowl with beans and frozen corn, or--

Shit, who was I talking about? Sorry, Kiwis. I'm spiraling out into mental gymnastics far worse than that time I tried LSD.

Hate to tell chinny but with the flu crisis being such a major thing, ventilator are needed for the more severe cases. There are not enough of them and so choices have to be made. People who are a such a massive use of resources such as the super morbidly obese who need extra help with everything are not making the cut. I hope Chantal realizes that she's not eligible to apply for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit, because it's only for workers who are sick, quarantined, or taking care of someone who is sick with COVID-19. Her "work" is not affected by being quarantined, because all she does is sit at home and eat in front of a camera anyways. If she thinks that she deserves the $2000.00 when she's not even affected by COVID-19 as much as others (who have been laid off, etc.), then she's delusional.

She mentioned something about how he'd had to call work & that they were both quarantining for 14 days. Unless/until he has to be admitted to hospital with serious symptoms, he's unlikely to get tested at this point. That's part of the frustration with this pandemic - we just don't have enough tests & reagents to be testing everybody presenting with mild symptoms. In other words - the actual numbers of people out there infected with this is probably an order of magnitude or more, greater than the "official" counts. As to her venturing out on her jaunts. Store staff of all kinds, law enforcement - all have a quickly decreasing amount of patience for that kind of bullshit right now. The province & her city under official states of emergency. Before she decides to go gallivanting, she might want to have a look at how that impacts civil rights she takes for granted. While law enforcement here are not known for "jack booted thuggery" as a rule, they don't have to put up with her idiocy either.

I have to agree she's in too poor shape to be a silent carrier; it's theoretically possible but astronomically unlikely. I suspect within 3-4 days of exposure, she'd start feeling a bit off & within 2-3 days of that be fighting for her life in hospital. Her lung x-ray showed an abnormality that typically indicates an underlying pathology & whatever that happens to be, pulmonary issues are proving to increase risk of death significantly.

All parks are closed in both Ontario and Quebec. She wouldn’t know this, though, because she doesn’t read or watch the news, even though I’m pretty sure she’s one of the few people who still waste money on cable, so she could have it on in the background at a minimum. But they don’t talk about her on the news, so YouTube and Instagram it is.

Regardless, even if she went for a walk (LOL) in the middle of nowhere, she’s breaking quarantine the minute she walks out the door. Of course, she probably doesn’t need to be in isolation because Bibi likely does have a cold, not corona, and did all along. In Ontario, we can & are encouraged, (maintaining safe distance), to use open spaces to get fresh air & exercise. The major concern is playground equipment - swing sets, slides etc. There are tons are areas in/around Ottawa that are wide open & free of people, even during normal times. Nevertheless, she doesn't know what Bibi has or doesn't have & the criteria have been made crystal clear - even if your symptoms are minor & lead you to think it's "just a cold", you're to quarantine for 14 days.

Some (not sure if all) grocery stores around here have shut down their cake decorating, service delis, and open stock kiosks. I'd assume that it's worse in Quebec than here, so she is running the risk of also losing her fast-food delivery. It's only a matter of time, imo.

If you "graduate" to ICU & a ventilator, chances are you're not getting off or coming out of ICU until you flatline. IF she goes grocery shopping, she'll find what I did this morning, strictly "policed" lies of customers held 6' apart with only a few allowed in the store at a time: 5 customers leave, 5 go in. I can't see her tolerating standing in line for 15 minutes, (if she's lucky), to buy anything.
