Québec has been the strictest place in North America ever since the whole COVID-19 started. They are now actively isolating regions. Her excuse might fly once or twice but they will most likely force her to shop in Gatineau if they see her going out every day.

If that happened, it will be interesting to see if this changes her mind about moving. No Farm Boy, Arbys and many others of Chantal's favorites in Québec. This might be the break Bibi needs to force her trotter.

Travelling through regions is now restricted in Québec. You can't, for example, travel from Gatineau to Montréal excepting for medical emergency or for work. I'm pretty sure crossing to Ontario will be restricted as well. Major highways are controlled and you can be fined if you are not complying.

Trudeau also stated to stay home excepting if you must go out for food, medication, medical emergency or because you are an essential worker.

Now. When Trudeau states that you can go out for food, it means to get your ass at the grocery store, load your cart with 2 weeks worth of food, and stay home for the next 14 days. It doesn't mean to drive to your local McD every damn night. Plus, isn't it just common sense to go out as little as possible during a pandemic?

Agree. They're projecting that Ontario is expecting about 15,000 deaths. Currently, Quebec (~5,734) and Ontario (~2,165) have the most COVID-19 cases within Canada. It's getting worse each day, as you can probably expect, and keep in mind that Canada has fewer people than America. Idiots like Chantal don't really seem to be taking that many extra precautions and are the reason why we could end up in a possible lockdown situation.
In general, Chantal doesn't care about her own health or others around her. There are people who are struggling to pay their bills and even afford food right now. Canadian Food Banks were running low on supplies, so the government had to give them money so they could help others. Yet, Chantal is wasting her time by consuming so much food and flaunting her "wealth" and saying that she's "rich." Yeah, she suuuure seems like someone who is worried about the situation and others.

Also, even though Chantal is the one consuming food, she's actually consumed by food. Even in her haul of face and hair products, she kept stating how "yummy" they were and how good they smelled. She will literally love anything and everything if it reminds her of food.

If there was a food shortage, a shut down of fast-food chains, or anything that potentially took away food from Chantal, I bet she would have been more stressed and worried about that than this pandemic.

I had posted a link days ago about how a third of corona deaths had pre-existing conditions such as obesity, diabetes and pulmonary issues. For those who have more than just one of these conditions, the stats are even worse.

She is just not going to fit the criteria for getting a ventilator. they also look at the persons lifestyle when life saving but limited resources are being given to patients.

(for instance, years ago there was a teen who needed a heart transplant but was denied due to his lifestyle ( gang banging, smoking, low compliance with doctors, etc). He was turned down but because he was black, his people screamed discrimination and made a huge stink. So mr gang banger got his heart.

So hospital committees have to carefully screen recipients of lifesaving resources. Chinny does not fit the bill in any way. Hell even her own family will be the first to say that it is best to just let her die and to not waste resources on her.

Store entrances are now heavily monitored with security that only allow a certain amount of people at once inside the store to respect social distancing. There are requirements before being admitted and one of them is that you have to wash your hands.

RCMP announced today that being caught defying quarantine rules is punishable with a $1 million fine or up to 3 years in jail.

RCMP have jurisdiction on federal property, (National Capital Commission parkways & the parking lot where she peed counts), & are the contracted police force for provinces without a provincial force. Ottawa Police is the first best bet for anyone wanting to go that route but they're probably overloaded with such calls. The Prime Minister has not declared a national state of emergency so I'm not sure about RCMP jurisdiction in this matter. I can find out easily enough. As to quarantine - yes, the RCMP DO have jurisdiction for enforcing that & they will be checking on people as quarantine orders ARE federal. But that is QUARANTINE. She & Bibi were apparently in self-isolation & that is a provincial order & no doubt a city one as well. I'll check with my favorite RMCP officer tomorrow to confirm.

We've been hit with an endless barrage of recommendations, proclamations, edicts & strong suggestions but every government authority has been clear - stay the hell home unless it's necessary. Fast food runs are not necessary. Trust me, every fast food joint in the country is doing delivery - most of them free to hang on to precious market share & warm fuzzies from stressed out customers. Going out to walk your dog, talk a walk for fresh air & exercise or a bike ride for same is fine, as long as people respect social distancing & keep it reasonable.

Here's a free Canadian civics lesson - we have a Constitution & Bill of Rights. Unlike the US, those rights aren't seen as unalienable; there's a clause, (I forget the exact wording), that states that such rights can be suspended temporarily under circumstances that citizens would deem reasonable. This would qualify. The govt. will have to be careful they don't overshoot though as I have no doubt a bunch of lawyers are taking careful notes for potential law suits after.
