This is a thread I made after my "Creepypasta Fandom" post got derailed. Here, you can discuss anything to do with creepypasta, not just the Lolcows in the community. If you just want to discuss the lolcows, follow the link below.

What do you guys think of CMP? He just did a Draw My Life video by the way.

He's one of the better narrators, I think. Honestly though, the list of ones who I don't mind listening to are essentially him and Mr. Creepypasta. All the others I have come across don't really have good voices for it.

That being said, there is this thing they both do that sort of annoys me. I've pointed it out to other people, but they don't hear it. I swear, though, they both have this slight inflection in their voice when they try to narrate women and children and... It just really sounds like an adult male trying to sound like a woman/child. Has anyone here noticed this?

I've noticed this too. It's kind of a turn off when they narrate in that style.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, they have good voices for narration as a whole. Some of the best I've seen in terms of Creepypasta videos, but... I just feel like they should play it like the old british dudes in the Game of Thrones audio-book
. Just straight up use their voice for fucking everything.

Found this one lying around the potm section http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Necrosleep kinda entertaining

As far as technological creepypasta goes, the internet is a better medium that videogames, mostly because it's probably that something almost as screwed up as what's being written about might exist or at least seems conceivable. I mean compare to LUIGI WENT TO WORLD 666 AND STABED MAYRO AND THERE WAS SO MUCH BLUDD

I personally enjoy The Rake. It's less used than the other entities, and the source story is very well written.

What exactly is the original Rake story?
The one I thought came first, was the one with a bunch supposed of articles and accounts, ending with a longer story by a wife: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/The_Rake
The only things that really stuck with me was that the Rake has a really stupid name and that the story gets really homoerotic, with the nude Rake fondling the husband (the original Rakes being pretty much into all kinds of sexual debauchery - so I guess the silly name ends up fitting the overall theme).

I guess it wasn't as overtly bad as Sonic.exe or HappyAppy or Jeff the Killer or most other notorious bad creepypastas, so I can understand people enjoying this just because it isn't as terrible as a lot of the other popular stuff out there - still wouldn't consider it well written.

I'd be willing to post some of my stories, if that's alright.

That is the first The Rake story. I haven't read any of the other stories. Think of The Rake as a Bigfoot type of entity. There are all sorts of stories of the possibility of creatures such as Bigfoot and Sasquatch existing. The only thing scary about The Rake is that it transcends through and somehow enters your home at night without you noticing. It's creepy because some dog-like humanoid beast just enters your locked home without any explanation. Or your camping with your friends and you see it trying to attack all of you.

It's like Slenderman but you don't have stupid pre-teen kids doing sacrificial killings to have Slenderman appear and kill them too.

Isn't that just the trait of basically every supernatural evil entity. Every horror movie ghost / monster / supernatural serial killer always gets into the home without anybody noticing and despite all locks. That's not really scary on its own, at least for me. Slenderman at least has some more interesting design and originally just kept in the background. silently staring, which worked out nicely with this whole "fear of the unknown" factor that was mentioned. He didn't just teleport into your bed to shake hands, make out and kill your kids.
That's why I personally don't get the original Rake story. It's just a generic "Oh no some monster is in our house and wants to kill us"-entity. Maybe that's just me though, since I also don't find Bigfoot or Sasquatch to be very scary or interesting. To each their own I guess.

Bigfoot and Sasquatch are interesting due to the mystery. I think people would have a fascination of supposedly existing creatures roaming around in the world. Slenderman is creepy by himself. A faceless wraith that teleports and disrupting electronics and sends you to wherever he takes you, is pretty scary.

I had a creepy dream last night about some monster that kills beings, and then dissolves the corpse's flesh into blood. It does this to all beings so that they can all become "one", since in all beings, animal or human, blood looks the same. Don't know if I've some across the premise for a creepypasta or not.

And for those in who participated in the Creepypasta Fandom thread in lolcow, I still need to continue the Lebanese story (also inspired by a dream) that I wrote an introduction to. For any of those who have been anxiously waiting for the next installment, I apologize.

In other news, I saw some Jeff the Killer cosplayers at the local anime convention I just attended. It made me think of the Creepypasta Fandom thread. :heart-full:
