Crusader Kings 3 - Its Crusader Kings 2 with a paint job

>Concubine dies during childbirth with child
>Second Concubine (their sister) gives birth to twins
>One of Twins is named after the sister
Not sure if intentional, cool regardless.

recently I reinstalled this, enjoying it so far actually I decided to play in Ireland and seizing a few counties and vassaling the rest, I now rule all of Southern Ireland within the first 50 years of the game, basically Ireland is now divided between me in the South (Munster) and the Duchy of Connacht in the north, next time I get on ill unify Ireland.

Upon seeing the premise for the DLC I thought you could play any courtier/landless character as an adventurer, clearly not the case.

I hate how many hoops you have to jump through if you aren't Norse (designating favorite child to inherit nothing, killing yourself with the console) if you want to play as a non-bookmarked or custom adventurer.

Solid DLC otherwise.

Roads to Power is genuinely the most fun I had with this game, I love being a mercenary that grows to greatness but the content that is added in this DLC makes me wonder if PDX actually made it.

Holy shit. I never realized how gay the modding community is for ck3. The Elden kings discord won't even let you say pelinal whitestrake is cool. The head mod is a faggot, the same for the game of thrones mod. The only mod not asking your pronouns is the releams in exile mod.
I'd ranted about "average modder syndrome" in a few threads now but fuck me of all the modding communities I've seen, PDX games take the fucking cake. Just look at the HOI4 modding drama and then multiply that by all PDX games. TNO? Trannies everywhere, more like TTD. KaiserReich Trannies. Old World Blues? Trannies. Looking at CK3 you have the dickswords you mentioned ("genocide of evil enslaving elves bad" really says a lot about what kind of people they are), Godherja's dicksword is also unfathomly gay (first time I joined the dicksword to see if I can find some answers to my questions I saw a argument about gender fuckery in the General, I never got my questions answered because they were too busy screeching at someone for some reason), thank God all this shit is mostly ignorable anywhere else. Even the plebbits are not as bad. Still, the sheer ego on most of these modders is hilarious.

Yeah I took a quick look at the EK dicksword just to see how bad it was...yeah it's pretty bad.

Thought that meant some kind of penis-induced mania so I googled it. Looks like they made her.. ethnic.

The "A Game of Thrones" mod for CK3 is the best A Song Of Ice and Fire game there is. If you're a fan you'll love it.

The earliest bookmark is the reign of Jaehaerys I Targaryan in 82 A.C. and the latest is The Crowned Stag bookmark 0f 282 A.C., right after Robert's Rebellion. It's faithful to the lore where applicable but naturally a lot of non-canon houses and characters are added to fill in blanks but they all fit in well. It also has tons of flavour content, playing as one of the major characters involved in the Tower of Joy event essentially let's you decide Jon's fate if it goes your way. It also has dragons and they seem really fleshed out but I haven't even got the them yet as I've been playing a Mad King start. Everything went much better for the Targaryans in my world. Not so much for Storm's End...

EDIT: I believe it's now Roads to Power compatible also but I don't have that yet lmao

Shame the best mods are filled with pozzed motherfuckers but at least they don't shove that shit in and actually try to make a good mod. AGOT for CK2 was also a really good mod even without the many, many addons made for it and was pretty much the only conversion mod I used, so seeing AGOT for CK3 really stepping it up as one of the best CK3 mods (but I do believe EK2 and especially Godherja are better) is nice to see. And yeah it's compatible with Road to Power now, never buy PDX's DLCs since because of their shitty practices and sometimes even shitty DLC. CsRinRu always has something for it.

Yeah, the creator of the mod is pretty insane. I used to fuck with him on the Reddit page and he left me a very interesting message in DMs.

Anyone got advice for playing as an unlanded adventurer? I feel like I'm doing things wrong, I'm on my third generation now and still seem nowhere closer to my goal of toppling the government and converting the realm to a different religion.

I put everything in to learning and theocratic pursuits with the intent of bringing back the in-game "generic" paganism to northern Europe and telling France to get fucked. I'm trying to do this by taking a small independent county in the British Isles and moving inward but I'm finding this to be the hardest part. I can never muster enough men to win a war nor support a peasant uprising and it's already been almost a century.

Don’t go down the learning path; you need to go down Martial (great conqueror is OP, but totally unnecessary), stack your camp with good prowess/martial followers, then overthrow it that way. It’s pretty easy if you change the focus to mercenaries and stack up on MaAs. You can tailor your particular army to be against the independent rulers composition; try to run his coffers dry by taking on contracts he offers so he can’t hire mercs, and undermine any alliances he may have. You’re starting with a dead, unreformed religion; you NEED a holy site before you can do missionary work.

The Holy sites for it are so illogical and far apart I've half a mind to just install one of the mods that gives more eurocentric or Celtic paganism. I shouldn't have to hold land in India to reform an old European religion. For all the niche batshit and extinct religions of third world countries that are featured in this game, they couldn't flesh anything of pre-Catholic Europe?

I'll try shifting to martial.

Paganism is a “place-holder” religion. It’s supposed to run the gamut from Europe to Arabia. With how popular Britain is, there should be a separate Gaelic Druidism and Breton Paganism religion. Definitely gotta be some mods out there for it; I know because After the Fall did something like that.
