There is absolutely diddlysquat chance of that happening unless they go through Chris' phone and find it full of messages from Bella with clear instructions to rape Barb. To date there is ZERO evidence anywhere that Bella told Chris to do it. In fact, the only evidence we have points to Bella *not* knowing about it for most of the time it was happening, though that is based on what she said to Fiona, not Chris.

COULD she have done it? Sure, and based on what we know that would be in-character for her, but you don't charge someone with a crime just because there's a lack of evidence that they DIDN'T do something.

The only crime she's probably provably guilty of regarding Chris is violating the Texas mandatory reporting laws, but as lots of us have said, a Texas prosecutor is probably not going to bother pushing that charge for abuse that didn't happen in Texas, even though they technically could by the letter of the law.

There's some weak evidence she murdered hamsters but that's not worth a prosecutor's time unless she did it in public or something.

There's the rape claim she made but the evidence for that is even weaker.

NOTHING is going to happen to Bella legally, except maybe a fine for her weapons charge in New York.. The justice system has a presumption of innocence. There has to be real evidence of a crime, or you have pissed off the authorities enough that they're willing to fabricate evidence and testimony.

Best case, the stars align, and some prosecutor in Lubbock sees all this and gets pissed off enough to try for the non-reporting charge. I give that a less than 1% chance of happening though.

If they just charged someone for loli alone, it could get appealed up to the supreme court again, and *every* time that's happened before the SCOTUS has struck down the law involved. They keep making new laws trying to tailor around the rulings but they don't want to risk using them this way lest they be struck down again. If I recall correctly the last time anyone has been charged solely for loli was the Handley case in 2008, and the prosecutors lucked out because Handley didn't have the money or will to sit in jail for years on appeal and just took a plea deal (since there's a good chance a jury would convict him out of spite, it basically would've become a battle of appeals).

All it takes is one person to get it to SCOTUS again and the authorities potentially lose a useful bonus charge against weebs who are also child molesters.

EDIT: As an addendum on Handley, it's even less likely for that to happen again in the near future, as SCOTUS ruled in 2018 that you can plead guilty and still appeal the constitutionality of the statute. The state can't hold a trial conviction over your head anymore for acts that are icky for juries but probably constitutionally legal.

EXTRA CREDIT EDIT: Waivers of rights to appeal are a thing, but there are no firm rulings on whether you can waive your right to appeal constitutional issues, but I have a feeling SCOTUS would side on the right to appeal the core fundamentals.

Some states will suspend SSI payments if found guilty. I don't know how long they suspend them for but in some states it's 30 days. At least that's what my five minutes of research tells me so if I'm wrong I'm sure somebody who knows more will correct me.

from what i know is if you go to jail or prison longer than either 30, or 60 days, they cut it off, and if you've got a felony and you go down for more than a year, no more tugboat. unless they've changed it,

agreed. it's actually next to impossible that he is in genpop. we can sit here and meme about the faults of the prison system in the US, but they are not that incompetent. not to mention he more than likely has a proper diagnosis with papers and shit. which albeit is not an end all be all for avoiding genpop, but papers and any officer sitting with him for more than a couple minutes is going to notice how off he is (besides the external appearance), get him sent down to medical, then to either PC, or worse, solitary. that last one is a real possibility, I hope not, chris should pay for what he did, but solitary is apparently some other shit. his brain would crack.....or maybe thrive with how weird he is, who knows, prob not good though

I didn't even think of solitary, I agree that would be a real possibility for Chris. If he can't keep his hands to himself, if he gets too loud/annoying to the point the other prisoners might hurt him, and/or the guards just get sick of dealing with his shit... yeah. They might just drop him down there and just leave his ass there. Considering how he was supposedly traumatized by a baby sitter locking him in a room I doubt he'll take it well at all.
