Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Also, Cyberpunk 2077 is already on sale for console and the GOG version. CD Projekt Red's stock also dropped by 50%. Fucking lol. Sure Badoswki, your launch was fucking fine. You fucking polish retard. You shouldn't be anything other than a fucking secretary and fetch the Witcher 3 lead fucking coffee and donuts.

I know my stance is going to be controversial as a lot of people seem to have liked him, but I really didn't. I wanted to forge my own story and having him get in the way really chapped my ass. Like you said, I wish you could have chosen the companion. Or even made one up yourself for full customization, so you're playing as two characters. They could have done this and really just ditched the retarded GTA aspect of the whole thing. I like more the idea of making up your own engram so you have this sort of dual set-up and maybe the free DLCs would be Cyberpunk iconic characters you could have as the engram. Along with the themes I mentioned. The whole engram plot isn't bad, it is just terribly utilized. Keanu takes control of not only you, but your story. You should be more in control, but you're really not. The entire game is basically a linear experience. Its really unfucking believable that they have the audacity to call this an RPG.

They're completely fucking delusional, so they're not going to fix this. Its just going to be another Anthem with a multiplayer mode loaded with microtransactions to try and retain some of their profits. It will not get a No Man's Sky treatment, not with 50% of its stock gone, the delusional attitude of the developers and a fucking retard in charge.
While we’re on that subject, was I the only one that felt like the game ended so abruptly? The pacing of this game felt like it was trying to hurry me along to just be done with it like it didn’t want me to play anymore. The story didn’t feel finished and I felt kind of unsatisfied when I got to the ending.

they don't.

you can grind all the cosmetics in anthem with ingame currency, and since they're on a weekly rotation you couldn't even whale if you wanted to unless you want to come back every week.
anthem is also getting an overhaul (which will most likely be crap since they're trying to fix shit that doesn't need fixing, thinking it's the reason the game bombed). it's already in a pretty good state since they fixed the issues from launch, but then it's not really a story driven game so they didn't need to touch any of that and most of the issues were technical and balancing. all it would need is content really.

GTA V gets a lot of shit, and rightfully so, but god damn look at this AI from 2013. Truck drivers were never expected to really drive anything but the highway but they still manage to get past most of these obstacles relatively well given the limitations.

Cyberpunk can't even drive around a car on the street.

Finally got my full refund a month after requesting it.

Sucks that between not being able to snag any new PC components due to many factors and now no games coming that interest me, the wonder I have is how many will be like me and consider moving on from gaming completely.

I agree with you about Johnny. I spent most of the game yelling "eat a dick, Johnny!" because he annoyed me so much.

i mean i got gifted a copy of the game so im not disappointed tbh. now, if i had been one of the people who paid full price for the game before it even came out, then of course i'd be pissed
Yeah, I just don’t understand preordering. You’re paying full price for a game you don’t know whether or not is actually worth it. If you’re buying it for a “limited-edition” trinket, chances are it either wasn’t worth or you’ll see it being resold for half the price in 3 months time.

You are all being too fucking small brained on the game it's actually a meta commentary on what a real cyberpunk future will be.

You're expecting everything to be flawless and work? Well guess what Windows 10 still doesn't work right and they have multiple encyclopedias of errors that will never be fixed because Microsoft keeps cutting corners and hiring a bunch of fucking pajeets.

Now every year the errors pile up, now image it's 2077 and we're down to one global megacorp who owns all the tech. Global megacorp would still cut corners just as their predecessors did, and shit would fuck up and nobody would be held accountable because they're now hiring actual fucking monekys for tech support because Pakistan blows up india in 2027 just like Deus Ex said it would.

Cyberpunk is 10 out of 10.

I don't see it on sale on galaxy 2.0, how much should I pay for it? I am curious in trainwrecks

In it's current form it's a very buggy, crash prone, linear 5/10 action game. I think some of the story content is interesting so I'd say around 15 dollars. Not more than 20 dollars for sure.

It's 50% off already at Best buy and CDPR is too retarded to fix it so it shouldn't be long before it's the price I described.

It's $35 on Amazon for PS4 (if you're crazy enough to try the console version at this stage). It's funny how the artbook and strategy guide show up in the Amazon search list before the game, though. Like they're trying to bury it.

First and probably only post in this thread but wanted to bitch. Completed the game, dealt with the bugs and crashes because was interested in the story. Credits start to roll was thinking about the ending and everything that happened to my V, got the in-credit holo call from Vik...and the game crashes. In the middle of the fucking credits. Immediately reminded what a disaster this game is.

Shouldn't have bought it on launch. Never, ever, ever buy a game on launch. That simple.

I was thinking on this, and I feel like the biggest problem was that the lead (Badowski or what the fuck ever) wanted to basically make a Rockstar game and ripped out the RPG elements as much as possible. It goes with the interviews with devs who basically didn't understand why they were trying to ape Rockstar (who has multiple, world-wide teams of over 1k people) and make both a GTA game and an RPG at the exact same time, something that not even Rockstar has yet attempted. I guess he thought the Witcher Polish magic would come through or some shit.

I feel like Rockstar should take the Shadowrun license and make a GTA/RPG Shadowrun. That'd be kind of hysterical, just to shove it in the face of CD Projekt. But its not like Rockstar needs to shove anything in their face, since you know, they're competent even if GTA V was a downgrade.

The game basically is a rush because its going to 'kill' you, so there's this feeling of urgency which you basically have to ignore to do side gigs.

Johnny is so fucking annoying to me. I hate the 'rockerboy' class concept anyway, so that just made it doubly more grating. Its like, "Oh wow, you super love this girl you cheated on 50 times, yeah" *rolls eyes*. And that's the main drive for revenge. I found his boomer anarchist attitude annoying as fuck. Like just shut the fuck up, I get it, corporations are bad. They're terrible. Do you have any other personality? Good lord. At least you can ditch companions in RPGs you find annoying....except this isn't an RPG.
Scalper bots also. Which is why even new gen consoles are impossible to get.

And silicon supply constraints too.
Scalper Bots are the real problem. Everybody thinks they can make a killing. So you have these 3080s sitting at like $1500 and 3090s at like $3k now, because the scalpers had to mark up prices even further because every retailer marked prices up. I got my 3090 before tariffs, so I spent like...200 over MSRP on Amazon. I would never touch Ebay, because Amazon stores are much better to get stuff from.

I think scalper bots will still be a problem, though with the tariffs they're probably going to get fucked because they can't sell them for that much over MSRP and if people weren't buying before, they sure as fuck aren't buying now. So they're going to get stuck with a huge amount of rotting stock.

There's also a PSU shortage, so its like one of the worst years ever to build a new PC. Especially since COVID hit, everyone and their mother went "Hm, yes, let me build a new PC."

It's really a shame what happened with this game, even CDPR isn't free from chessclubbery or some snake oil.

It took them 8 years to produce a complete disaster but the stock has dropped rather quickly.
Four actually if I'm not mistaken as the development on Cyberpunk 2077 didn't properly start until 2016. If they spent the first four years entirely on The Witcher 3 or just dicking around is anyone's guess.

We also know that at least two early builds were completely scrapped so this thing could have been shat out in as few as two years.
