It was worse in 1.0, that one quick hack I can't remember the name of which killed enemies instantly used to affect Smasher so you could literally kill him in less than a second while he was still doing a monologue if you had the stats.
I dread The Witcher 4. It's going to look like W3 and the Netflix slop had a baby I guarantee it, they want that ESG money and hired a million Americans so I fully anticipate random niggers and Asians in fantasy Poland.
A sequel is possible but you'd have to take the brave step of staying away from Geralt, maybe let us make our own Witcher and double down on monster hunting and politicking. They won't do this though I assume we will be stuck playing as Ciri, especially since CD has dropped male V from marketing entirely.
It was the Suicide quickhack before it was fixed IIRC. The Blackwall Gateway quickhack more or less replaced it in PL (because it ignores the health pool if the target is not a boss, otherwise it's a stun with a decent damage buff), but it's pretty disappointing that you can't use it to instantly kill bosses or at least use it as a finishing move for them. Most people playing PL completed this game anyway and I doubt that a ton of people will pay full price for the base game + DLC/Expansion.
That's pretty realistic, I'm afraid. If the catastrophic launch of CP2077 wasn't a reason enough to drop CDPR entirely, this definitely will. I loved the Witcher series.
To be fair, female V is superior in every aspect. And that fucking sucks. Male V's voice is still one of my biggest pet peeves in this game. It was trying to sound too gruff for a young person and it's unnatural, can't blame the VA here and it's probably the fuck-up of the people who did the script/story-boarding. I've rather had a more cocky, clear-sounding male V without the put-on "Solid Snake" voice. The most "natural" sounding conversations were mostly in the side quests.
I completely disagree. This happens every single time one of these games comes out and troons / fags want to justify playing dress up with a female PC. Fem V sounds like she is going to burst into tears or just smoked a bowl in every conversation. Male V isn't perfect but he sounds far more believable for an inner city mercenary who makes his living shooting people. Male V I can imagine making threats and being taken halfway seriously, the only thing I can imagine Fem V doing is whining on Twitter about microagressions. I don't want a 'cocky' male voice like some shit out of the MCU. I want a Merc.

Thanks for the info. I didn't play female V and watched clips of the playthrough with her and it did sound better from a first look. That was my mistake, since I usually stick to playing male characters. Did you a playthrough with female V?
CDPR should've got a different VA then. I don't mean the MCU kind, I got sick of it pretty quickly. "quips" are fucking annoying and reddit-tier shit.
Wholly agree here though I play with a muted PC mod, Nate screaming at Kellogg is full of so much delicious fatherly fury it almost made me regret it.
Female V sounds 'more emotional' is what I always hear and I guess if your definition of good voice acting is 'sad all the time' then yeah I guess so. But in a game where you're going to be cutting back alley deals or violently murdering motherfuckers do you want your PC to sound like a (literal) pussy?
The voice of your POV character does a lot to set the atmosphere. But it's all over the place. The cyberpunk setting is usually more depressing, gritty and cynical, but in this game it's sometimes too up-beat. Whatever, this whole project was and still is a complete mess. Should've got someone else for voicing male V.
If you read the source books there’s also a lot of we wuz n shit. The more I read into the lore (via the pdf sourcebooks) the more retarded it sounds

I swear, this is a problem with most women "created character" protagonists in video games. I've felt this way about Fem Shep and most of the Saints Row female voices too.
While I normally enjoy a good takedown this felt a bit nitpicky of comparing it all to reality.
