Choom, Choomba and Choombata is their evolution of the word chum. I remember Shadowrun had a similar thing except they used 'chummer'.
Preem and Primo is the evolution of 'great' by the way of 'premium'. Probably something taken from Burning Chrome or the Sprawl Trilogy.
I do like that they made the street slang comprehensible but the speech very different from more educated characters in the game (the mayoral candidate Peralez, the arasakas, etc).
 
1.5 patch announced to be released today. Brings rebalanced perk trees and better/more aggressive crowds in more aggressive areas. Full patch notes will be later

PC wins again, it seems. The notes make me fairly more optimistic about the future of the game. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s a good step in the right direction.

I hope they sorted out their litigation. It sounds like this is the start of them essentially pulling support for last gen consoles and I have to imagine most of that shit is under contract.
 
I am legitimately surprised they're continuing to update the game so far and so long.
 
Well that was good-ish I guess. Shutting the fuck up until they have big updates like this (instead of stuff like awful looking skins and cars) is probably the right way to go.

Their streams are still amateur and sloppy as fuck though. And is it really still only 30FPS on the Series S? They should probably just cut off support for every platform that isn't PC/PS5/XSX at this point.

Snipers? With enough cold blood and tech I can get my armor into the low 8000's and still get my shit pushed in if I decide to get into the firing line. The only viable way to play this game as a melee is to get timestop cyberware asap. I haven't tried berserker yet, maybe it will be fun.

Anyways, I wanted to finish the "Don't fear the reaper" achievement and was in my mid 40's with the current toon (20 int, 18 tech and 20 cool - the rest went into body for the hp and reflexes, but I want to finish it without cyberware that is not strictly for netrunning). I don't know if I want to respec and start from 0 with the new patch (to try out all the enemies again) or have V go balls to the wall against high level enemies in patch 1.51.

P.S. Or maybe my savefile is now unusable so that's a decision made for me.
 
CDPR really hates the idea of high critical hit damage don't they? With every patch they nerf it further into the ground.

I've done a berserker/crafting/gorilla arms build before. It works pretty good to be honest. Not as easy as a sandevistan build but it's easy enough once you get into it.
