Gvmers released a fall and comeback video for the game. Did the game pull a No Man's Sky? To be determined. My hunch is no with this new support for ESG video the devs released.
In 2 years all CDPR has managed to do is fix most of the game breaking bugs (file corruption, soft locking, hardware bricking etc) some of the more minor stuff like the bug where you can launch yourself, certain objects lacking collision boxes, your car spawning in the ground or in another vehicle, cops spawning immediately behind you, V sleeping sideways, gunshots now cause water splashes etc etc. They tuned the driving enough to where it's bearable. They "fixed" the perk tree so you don't have perks for mechanics that aren't even in the game (ex: human shields), fix some of the exploits with crafting and other infinite money/infinite xp loopholes.
They've added some hair styles and customization options, you can change some of your appearance in mirrors now, they added Transmogrification for your clothes. Added a few new weapons, a few new pieces of clothing, for edge runners specifically they added i think 3 quests related to the show? The most significant feature added was buying apartments and choosing a decoration style for it. You still can do fuck all in the apartments themselves but whatever.
There's still no car customization, there's still no cop chasses, the wanted system is still as busted as it was during release. a lot of the animations are still busted, most of the missions are still garbage tier filler, 99% of the big important missions still don't have any real significant choices in them that drastically deviate the plot (certainly not to the level of the Mailstrom hideout mission), life paths still don't fucking matter and ultimately just amount to 20 minutes intros, story is still ass, Johny Silverhand is still ass...
There is no turn around. There never was and there likely never will considering they keep repeating the same mistakes like announcing the sequal before they even have a team working on the damn thing. I'm willing to bet once the expasion comes out it will likely push them back to square 1 as i don't doubt the expansion is going to break and introduce a lot of broken things.
The only way Cyberpunk Orion has any hope at this point is if somehow Eidos goes tits up while working on the next Deus Ex game so they all decide to migrate over to CDPR and take all the tech, gameplay mechanics and ideas they had for Deus Ex and put them in the next cyberpunk game.
Listen, i really wish this was a VtM Bloodlines situation where once the community got in there and fixed some of the worst offenders (bug and performance wise) then we would end up with a very deep, enthralling RPG with an interesting story, intriguing characters and high replayability that was always at it's core. That's simply not the case with Cyberpunk 2077.
Sperging over.
