Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Skellige was fine. The issue was how long things kept on going after you got Ciri back. In terms of pacing it was like playing one BioWare game to the end and then backtracking all over the same places to assemble your team for the big battle but then wait, that isn't the big battle because you have to do more team assembly for the next big battle. Its like you did the entirety of ME1 to start with, then the ME2 and ME3 main quests in short succession afterwards, all as part of the same exact game. At least you can just fast travel without needing to physically fly the Normandy places. Cutting out the Kaer Morhen fight and leadup to go right to the prepwork for the final fight at Skellige and the resolution of the Nilfgaard/Temeria/Redania hate triangle would have been a hell of a lot smoother and more enjoyable.

Skellige was when I dropped off side quests hard though, I don't think I wound up doing a single monster hunt even though that was one of my favorite aspects of the game, but by the time I got to Skellige I was simply getting sick of the game.

I dunno, the list posted a page back and the images recently seem to be going towards that direction. Call it a semi-educated guess or something. I've just got a bad feeling this one is gonna be more woke shit.

I would say just keep an eye out for it in release, don't outright discard it. I'm not expecting a masterpiece at this point (when I see celeb cockworshipping and the clunky ass melee the masterpiece really fucking left the building long ago) but it could still be a 7/10. Just wait to see the final product and if it's aids then don't bother. I don't think it's in the "this is guaranteed bonafide diarrhea shit" yet.

When I did the main quest I accidentally skipped ahead and ended up having to back track like an entire ark. They kind of relied on the soft level gating to stop you from doing things out of order rather than something not stupid, so I hope they fixed that in 2077. That is probably my main complaint with pacing there. They really have to go all in on the sandbox thing and figure out a better way to pace their levels if they're going to have static levels for the main quest, or have levels that arn't just "You curb stomp anyone lower and every mook two levels higher than you is basically a boss fight". The way the Witcher 3 did it meant you're supposed to go to a certain point, clear out all the side quests at this point, then advance down the main story once your level gets higher. That might be why some people feel like it drags on for longer. If you skip the side quests and try to muscle down the main questline without them you'll be under leveled and run head first into that soft cap. You're encouraged to run down every trail you run across rather than saving them for later with this layout. If you wait until you finish a certain point in the main quest and come back then you'll just roll over the targets rather than having fun with it, the reward is static and thus inferior to anything you have, and you have to backtrack to some place the game just kinda assumed you where done with.

A later patch in W3 allowed you to have level upscaling only so enemies could be overlevelled for you in some areas but then you wouldn't just barge through other areas. This means it's more fun to do all the three areas (Velen, Novigrad, Skellige) out of order and indeed the dialogue adapts for this.

You mean the 2-4 problem hairs seen in this pic (that's a pic they posted on woman's day, so i'm guessing that's the entire female staff?
Goddammit i don't want to be a contrarian but i really don't see how are they pandering to anyone, yeah you can show me a tweet they made on pride month so they won't get lynched but come on.
Same with people saying the game is just GTA, sorry but i don't see it.
At this point the reaction of 4fags and other forums to the game have been far more interesting to me than the game itself, its not mental gymnastics, its mental olympics.
I didn't preorder the game anyway, so I'm just going to wait and see. I didn't think that last Xcom game that came out could be that bad, but it was.

Skellige was annoying to get through for me because I did all the side stuff, including sailing out to each individual location and diving into the sea to get all that stuff that was locked in chests underwater for some reason. I think that is at least half the reason why that area seemed to drag on so long for me, the underwater exploration stuff in Witcher 3 was the most tedious part of the game, arguably.

It was okay on the other maps because there wasn't that much to look for underwater, comparatively. Skellige also felt unfinished in other ways, not as much detail was paid to some of the characters you meet there, for example, but that's not what made it a drag for me. By contrast, I actually really liked the showdown at Kaer Morhen, it was the penultimate showdown of the game and helped drive home what the stakes were and was an effective opener for the final part of the game and the conclusion of the story told over the course of the Witcher trilogy.

I loved Kaer Morhen.

It really sucks because the game has some of the most interesting and beautiful underwater sections I've seen. Like GTAV it really was a ton of lost potential to have such a beautifully crafted part of the game be so tedious.

As I've said before, I have no expectations for this game and I'm glad. I think as long as it's a decent FPS I'll be satisfied with it. If you fret over what could have been, you will be endlessly depressed by the sheer number of things that get left on the cutting room floor or entire projects that never see the light of day.

I just want to see a guy hold a controller and spin in a circle so that I know none of what is being shown in these trailers is bullshit, is it that difficult to do? Something that isn't a perfected and edited to heck trailer.

I have long wondered why they don't just pay a few decently skilled streamers to show off the game. You could give them a few days to mess around with a demo and pull the best bits of footage from that. It probably wouldn't be suitable for a trailer, but I think everyone could appreciate seeing even a few minutes of organic gameplay.

I want a handy from the Feminator in Terminator 3.

Yeah, but fistfighting a troll to become Boxing Champion of the Northern Realms was pretty sweet.

I actually just got done with the Skellige gig and I can say that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. However the werewolf quest was kind of shit, the garden was a huge disappointment, and I could've lived my life not seeing UQ 1080p high FPS grandma titties. Like fuck dude I could count the wrinkles.

Ya know what really fucking bothers me though is I still have yet to find any of the ballise fruit. Am I retarded?

I stopped exploring all the question marks in W3 when I realized that most of the time it was a bunch of useless gear or trinkets that wasted my time for me personally. I certainly hope they don't give cyberpunk that bloat.

I've heard this sentiment before and i honestly don't understand it. How is having stuff in the game you don't want to do bad? Just don't do it, it's optional for a reason.
I don't understand what drives people to 100% open world games, you're clearly not supposed to do every marker you find, the side activities are there as a break from main content or just a way to do something nice on your way to a location. You decide if you want to engage with it so why would you then bw mad that you did.

This would never be a problem if devs just didn't show you where those encounters are on the map by default. People would have no compulsion to do each and every one. But seriously who collects every feather in ACII, what compells you to do that?

At least the other ladies were good looking, but I don't understand why they felt like they couldn't show Ciri topless.

Video game nudity will never not amuse me and it only amuses me even more these days because of the SJWs.

But seriously who collects every feather in ACII, what compells you to do that?

I don't understand why anyone would do something like that either.
