Possibly the most accurate prediction on this. I don't think CP77 will be a bad game. I think it's very likely to be a very good game. But it's unlikely to be as good as W3 because W3 was such a tough act to follow. But because it won't be as good as W3 there'll be a lot of people out there screeching about how it's RUINED FOREVER.

the W3 was a fun game but it was flawed very bigly. It'd be great if cyberpunk could learn from the mistakes of their open world design and not reproduce that shit, a lot of W3 was a drag. The good parts were very fun tho IMO.

The whole crunch thing is weird. On one hand, the treatment in the late 2000's was asking for a workplace shooter situation and massive lawsuits.

On the other hand, crunch times happens in all kinds of jobs. Hell, working construction there were a few times we had to put in looooong hours for like 8-14 days straight to make sure we made it under the deadline. Hell, being called in on your days off and having your shift extended is so prevalent it happens even at Wal-Mart.

Some of these people screeching about having to work paid overtime have obviously never had a job in their lives other than game design and programming.

When your employer has a few million dollars on the line, the work crews bonuses are on the line, and the project has to be done in the next 14 days or everyone loses their bonuses and penalties will start hitting, you can bet your ass it's all hands on deck until it's done.

Now assuming this article is correct. 30% less preorders compared to Red Dead Redemption 2 is still fucking massive. That is also with out numbers from the PC sales of the game and well the only one claiming it is underwhelming is that site.

It is pure clickbait. OH no how will CDProject red survive with only selling 30% less then what the biggest game of last year did. How can they survive with +10 million sold when read dead had 15 million. I mean why even try.

I do if the game has a pre-order discount and I was going to get it day one anyway. Last time that happened was for Witcher 3, though. That 20% discount was nice of them.

Bad practice, paying 20% off on a turd is still paying too much for a turd. Always wait for release and give it a couple days to see if it's a buggy mess/not what they advertised. Only suckers buy day 1 anything.

I should hope she's well written since it's clear as day she'll backstab anyone (even a lover) in a heartbeat if it means a promotion.

Keanu was confirmed to not be a romance in one of the interviews IIRC
