Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

From the CDPR conference call:

Enough preorders were cancelled that Cyberpunk 2077 is no longer in the top sellers on steam and the GOG servers were overwhelmed with refund requests. CDPR must be regretting the no DRM policy now.
Yeah sorry after the blizzard "backlash" i don't believe g*mers have any impulse control and they'll just preorder again once they calmed down, if they even canceled.

If quite legitimate asspain about chinese censorship that still hasn't ended didn't impact blizzard then this little shitshow right here has no impact on cyberpunk.
Gamers are pathetic manchildren who bitch and moan about anything and everything but despite all that still fall for all the yearly scams like Assassins Creed or CoD.
Every time they're upset, angry and disappointed and every time they give out more money because they have nothing else going on and 0 standards.

It's worth the wait, these recent stills indicate it will look even better than I thought.

The game industry suffers from crunch yet somehow it takes 5-10 years to get games out now. It's really baffling to me.
Because games are really big and complex.

There's a lot of fun shitposting here, but are people genuinely mad at the delay? Seeing the amount of hate online seems to be a bit much for a joke, but it also seems such a petty thing to be genuinely upset over.

I'm not happy about it but it's less than a month's delay, so it's not the end of the world.

I don't really care. Games aren't that important to me anymore. I don't really even like modern games that much, over priced, overly produced cinematic garbage for the most part.

Cyberpunk looks interesting but at this point I'm probably not going to get it until next year unless it turns out to literally be the best game ever or something.

The reaction to the delay is kind of everything I hate about "gaming culture". I'll make fun of the delay, sure. But the weird man babies whos entire lives are centered around a single game and then get so mad they make death threats and shit...it's another reason I kind of hate games now.

I've been following this fucking game since the initial teaser in 2012. At the time, Witcher 1 was my personal GOAT. I'm building a PC to max/4k/60 the game, whenever we get proper benchmarks from non-shills.

It's just annoying, especially since the PC version is done and the delay is purely because of last-gen or Stadia bullshit. But I've already waited eight years; so what if a month is added on? And it gives me more time to get a 30X0, for whenever nvidia decides to finally release their hoard to compete with AMD and their new cards.

It's pretty funny to see all these articles suddenly pop up a day after the delay lamenting about these ominous death threats being sent to the devs only to click on the story and see the screencaps are from some tryhards sperging for attention by being edgy while the article chastises the wider community for taking this stupid game too seriously. "Seriously, gamers, desu threats are too far... That's. Not. Cool."

Give me a break. Fuck cdpr, this shit is all a work.

At least investment in this is far, far less autistic and costly than Star Citizen. I can't wait till December. No, not for Cyberpunk 2077, the Warhammer 2 DLC comes out then. That at least won't be an overhyped letdown of a $60 purchase.
We'll see a competition between how long it takes CDPR to fix game breaking bugs in Cyberpunk vs how long the lazy bongs at CA take to fix all the bugs they'll introduce with the dlc. Even with the delays and the americans working there my money's still on CDPR, the britbongs are lazy af.

Don't worry about the bugs, do you guys see this Troy themed game? You all want that right?

Those bugs will never be fixed, they will just move onto the next game and then forget to fix those as well. I loved how for 3K they went to put in a patch to fix all the old bugs, only for that patch to introduce a game breaking bug so they had to roll back the old patch until they could fix it.
