Had some time time to play, I'm enjoying it.

So far I really like it but holy hell is it probably the buggiest game I've ever played. Nothing game breaking but usually at least an animation fucks up every 5 minutes or so. Feels rushed even though it was delayed 30 times. And it's really annoying how cops just spawn right behind you as soon as you commit any crimes.

I actually read very little about the game and didn't really pay much attention to it while it was being developed so I think I went into it with the right expectations. All I really wanted was another Deus Ex game or cyberpunk GTA 5 and that's basically what it is. My biggest complaint is that even though the game world is big and looks great, it still feels lifeless; the NPCs barely say anything and it's missing the random open world shit that Rockstar is good at.
The Witcher 3 NPCs were also great. Looks like what the other posters said are true, that they laid off all the good talent from the Witcher days.

As for the male hooker bit, that's gold. His feeble, hesitant "...Guys--" at the end is priceless. He was just molested by the game.
Is "Show me what those hands can do" gonna be the new "Glass him"?
youre sitting in a club and a guy comes up to you with some heavy sexual flirting. you get the option ''show me what your hands can do'' followed by a number and the ingame currency next to it. theres even a kiss symbol right before the text. if you dont know whats going to happen you might just be an autist. its not even close to [GLASS HIM].

xQc here wasnt molested, he did it purposefully to have a fail moment for the twitch clip clicks. its twitch acting at its lowest.

Yeah, I think the problem is that all the early missions were shown heavily in all the gameplay trailers, so there's basically no surprises at first. It really only gets better a few hours in, and it's probably a good idea to intersperse the main quests with side quests.

Initial impressions with specs.

Specs:
Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz
32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1066MHz
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (ASUS)

It is...fine. Gunplay is 100% as described, borderlands. I have no idea why non-lethal takedowns are even a thing. The lack of weapon customization is extremely depressing. Hacking is surprisingly fun. Melee combat is utter, complete dogshit. Don't even bother with it. Stats seem kind of pointless TBH. The 'RPG' aspects are very secondary. There's a LOT less variety for conversation and finishing quests, and it is actually MORE rigid story-wise than the Witcher 3. Which is hilarious. V has two modes: "Ok" or "Asshole". Its very difficult to have him/her/it/whatever to go beyond that. Which is sad. Because you could sort of mold Geralt in 'The Witcher 3' to how you wanted him. Cold, warmer, anti-hero, etc. Yes, he had a set backstory and general personality, but you could go in different directions. Here, V is really a tabula rasa. With just 3 backgrounds, its kind of hard to form. There's not even any flavor to design your character. Its just...Nomad (gypsy/mad max), 'Street Kid' (Ganger) and Ex-Corp. And they don't really seem to play a gigantic role. I don't much care Silverhand is the focus, I was hoping to play a gypsy bad-ass and I play as...not one. Missed opportunity. I don't think V was made generic for Silverhand, that the character was made generic to appeal. They're not really a blank slate, because there's nothing much there to reflect. God, it sucks you are so bland. Its compounded by the fact Keanu sounding bored. Which he obviously would be. Hint: This is why you don't use celebrities for major roles. Because they don't give a fuck.

I don't think the character creator is THAT terrible. I think that's been exaggerated. I'm kind of annoyed that they don't give crazy skin colors like just albino or jet-black. Though everyone is right, the modelers and designers took a MASSIVE drop compared to 'The Witcher 3'. I feel like they just picked really low-level AAA people to do the modeling, because oh boy. I don't get how everyone looks WORSE than 'The Witcher 3'. This is probably going to be the first thing that gets modded. Because holy shit. I just don't get how you have a downgrade from your last game. This is the first thing that is going to get fixed and it NEEDS it. I don't get how CD Projekt isn't embarrassed just at how much of a downgrade the models took. It is seriously like a low-tier AA game. I've seen better nude models from porn animators.

I haven't encountered many, if any, visual glitches. I've honestly encountered more audio issues than visual. Occasional brief glitches like pop in. There's definitely a huge disparity between PC and console in this regard it seems. It looks ok, but something feels off. The setting doesn't seem all that Cyberpunky to me. It doesn't capture that feeling. I don't know, I kind of feel like even 'The Witcher 2' was prettier, even with its darker atmosphere. And 'The Witcher 2' had better nude models too, which is fucking lol. Again, feels like a AA game. Honestly, I don't feel this was on purpose, that's giving them too much credit. I don't think they had the competence to do this on purpose. Which is more insulting. This was simply the best they could do.

The major problem with this game is....its generic. Really, really generic. Even Bethesda games feel like they have more character. It isn't bad, it isn't particularly great. Cyberpunk is just sort of....there. Really, this is a $45 AA game. There is absolutely no excuse as to why this took 7-8 years. Actually, well, yeah. The development was quite obviously stopped and re-started at least twice IMO. The problem is it resulted in a very generic title that feels like a AA game that was developed in less than half that time.

Basically, if 'Witcher 3' was a T-Bone Steak, Cyberpunk 2077 is a saltine. Its a high end cracker. But at the end of the day, its still a cracker. Honestly, really disappointing. Even barring the hype. I think I'm actually more disappointed to know that the glory days of CD Projekt are over and its just generic trash from here on out. I don't regret buying it, but DLC will not improve the RPG experience. Only mods will improve the visuals and gameplay. Maybe the DLC will salvage character development and add more to you, but I'm not holding my breath. Though I'm biased because I'm more disappointed that this signals the direction of CD Projekt from now on than in the actual game itself. I don't think extreme "THIS FUCKING SUCKS" or "THIS IS GOTY" in either direction is warranted. Its ok.

My conclusions:

DO NOT buy for console. More glitches and you won't be able to mod it.
If you are on the fence, wait for it to go to $45 or mod support.
If you want it, just go ahead and buy it.

EDIT:
Also LOL to that Wikiedit. This is a completely generic, inoffensive title. It is made to appeal to the mass market. The 'trans' ad is easily overlooked. Absolutely nothing is fetishized. Men and women are, trans with maybe that 1 ad. They're losing they're shit completely over nothing. Its fucking hysterical. I don't even know how these people breathe without dying of a stress induced heart attack.

Are the people here posting screenshots playing at highish graphics? Maybe it looks better in-game, but the screenshots make it look like so bland. It reminds me of Saints Row.
I'm playing it maxed out on a 3080..........its really not all that good. HOWEVER there is a lot of fucking objects outside.
