Don't see how I'd care about any upcoming DLC unless it takes place after the endings. But in that case then they'd have to come up with a way around two endings in particular so I doubt they'd go that route because it's too much effort and they already have their hands full trying to fix up the base game.

So
Johnny Silverhand in the 2020 RPG was portrayed as a glam rock looking guy:

Totally not some unwashed pill addict. And I was figuring that greasy asshole Keanu was supposed to be Johnny after a fall from glory who went off the deep end after Alt's "death". Except no, I just went through the mission that's flashbacking to Johnny's past and they're showing him as insane and dirty even before she got Soulkillered. What the fuck.

Also they somehow managed to fuck up input and output as slang for boyfriend and girlfriend, I've heard them referring to women as being the output. It's the other way around in the RPG, for kind of obvious reasons.

Silverhand was originally based on David Bowie.

This is the only good part of Cyberpunk, and it's not even in the fucking game. God Bless now independent Texas. And NorCal being free from the clutches of LA and the cesspit that is SoCal.

Comrade's Hammer is a fucking handcannon. Note this is with basic mods that don't affect the raw damage stats. Sure it only fires one shot at a time (can be partly mitigatd with the reload perks), but it blows away like 35% of boss HP in one hit and kills anything else dead.

Most of the iconic legendary weapons are absolute blenders. I crafted up a couple of iconics to legendary, the Divided we Stand smart rifle just annihilates everything. The crafting skill completely breaks the game; the quality of weapons you can get by building/upgrading yourself are untouchable by the ones you pick up.

This game is a bit of a buggy mess... And I love almost every minute of it. On my second character, though he is really more of a better version of my first character. I will move onto another character after they fix more bugs and add new content.

That being said, the last gen versions of the game should have not been released. Upper management deserves to be fired for that one (and pay for CDPR's legal defense fees, imho).

I very much doubt that a handful of idiots from Canada managed to sink an entire AAA game. Contributed, sure, but to try to lay the blame at their feet seems insane, given that there was a team of hundreds involved.

probably not, and I still believe the actual number of those same devs was actually much lower than gets meme'd, they're just a convenient scapegoat. they're not the cause, but very much a symptom - how get people like this hired in the first place and end up in places where they can fuck shit up enough?

Blaming dangerhairs & diversity hires for the entire disaster is fucking lazy & autistic. There obviously is more shady shit going on behind the scenes. The CEO of CDPR for example lied about the state of the last gen version.

entirely? no, however you need to look at all the factors involved as well: how hyped was CDPR as a studio? how long has the game been in development? that's an awful lot of time and an attractive target for rot to set in.
I mean, look at CDPR itself, after they shat on bioware years ago with witcher and bioware became more and more retarded (in a process eerily similar to CDPR), a lot of those autistic biodrones set their sights on CDPR, one of the few devs that let you bang your virtual waifu/husbando as some form of AAA dating sim. add to that how "CDPR are one of the few good devs left" and witcher's meme status among normalfags, a lot of shitty devs and writers were eager to get a gig there. not to contribute, but to piggyback on the prestige that comes with it - you can see the same effect everywhere, just look how hard most "nerd" franchises have been abused in the last few years. in short, imagine your talent pool being heavily diluted by chuck wendigs and mitch dryers.
on top of that till a month ago CDPR was a studio "that could do no wrong and knows what they're doing", giving them ample freedom to fuck up hard, much harder than your average studio with tight oversight - something that has been happening for decades and still does, just look at star citizen.

so now you have a lot of shitters that want to work for you, and as a studio you think you're legit one of the good guys (as in "we leave greed to other people" and what @jje100010001 posted, which is some fucked up creepy google "don't be evil shit", and we all know how that turned out), it doesn't take much to open the floodgates for a lot of shitters to get hired, and once they're there that's it, good luck ever getting rid of the that rot. it's not like HR or management looking for idpol browny points cares how the hires will fare in the end.
this might sound like some MUH SJW paranoia, but think about this: how would you work with those kind of people where you constantly have to carry them and walk around on eggshells tanking productivity? you can't try to "fix" it else you're problematic, toxic and whatever buzzword is en vogue at the moment, at best be ready for more sensitivity training (less time getting your actual job done). you can't fire them, getting rid of someone based on incompetence is already difficult enough to prove (if it's even a clause in the contract), opening yourself up for lawsuits, taking a PR hit and having to hire new people (=expensive, most people aren't even aware of that), so in some form of cosmic irony they get promoted. almost everyone can handle spreadsheets and do meetings, right? plus especially for women there's still the perception they are better at "managing people" than all the complicated technical stuff (they were hired for in the first place tho), this sounds like a smart and clear win/win for the company, doesn't it? you get rid of a low productivity employee affecting a whole team, meaning you can hire someone competent now since you still have enough for your diversity quota and turn that employ into someone actually productive - by putting him on top of the team he was shitting up. if you're lucky he/she/they/xir gets to shit up another department. think of it as the peter principle getting raped by a roided up equality of outcome agenda.

as others said, most of the people to blame are the ones in charge, but they didn't become shit on their on volition and over night, least of all get hired for it. it's a process, and shit like cp2077 and all the AAA blunders you see more and more is just the manifestation of that. you don't need a certain amount of shitters, just enough shitters in positions that matter to turn a mediocre game into literally shit.

as for the last gen lie, let's be honest that became only an issue after "good guy CDPR" said they gonna refund all purchases, effectively pissing off sony so hard they delisted the game. consoletards are used to gleefully eating shit and asking for seconds. no company runs ads with the lowest hardware version (if they don't outright fake bullshots, sony itself is fucking notorious for that). 15 fps? that's cinematic! and if you have a problem with it buy a ps5 you poorfag, did you honestly expect 4k@60fps on your base version?! bugs? they'll get fixed, just wait, CDPR isn't like <shitty AAA publisher> (and apparently the last few patches have fixed quite a bit).
literally all CDPR had to do is keep their mouth shut, make some empty "we are aware, we hear you, we're working on it" concessions, let people complain while getting shouted down by the drones and by now people would've completed the game even in it's fucked up state, or dropped it. either way they would've moved on and "remember the launch?!" would become it's own meme, if it even gets to that point and not everyone conveniently forgetting it, just like how everybody can't remember how shit witcher 3 was at launch and lot of games are these days. no one is gonna learn anything from this mess and make it affect their next purchase.
as much as people complain about shitty AAA publishers, those know how the game is played, especially with a customer base full of retarded sheep that gonna preorder the next hyped product no matter what - how else would they still be in business?

The requirements for the 'secret' ending are some 'crouch for five seconds in front of a dead end wall to have a tornado take you away' Simon's Quest shit. And like 20 hours before the end. I'm... Pretty sure that'll get patched.
at least in Simon's quest it gave you a clue about it...not a clear one but at least something.

Finally finished it, at least to my satisfaction. Needs polishing for sure (hate the bug where whenever you leave a vehicle you get stuck in cutscene-mode), I kind of wish the endings lined up a little better for post-game content (though it isn't like they didn't warn you, that was borderline excessive how hard they telegraphed that you were at the endgame), but by far my biggest complaint is how Pondsmith was too attached to his 2020 setting to let the world progress at all.

I get how this world is Cyberpunk 2020's future not our own, but Rogue, Adam Smasher, Saburo Arasaka, etc. all still being around reeked of an author unwilling to set his pet characters aside. It felt like more happened between the 90's and 2020 than 2020 and 2077, 50+ years later. At least make Rogue a little old lady or something funny if she's still around. Recycling her character model with a granny bitmap is inexcusable.

Also quickhacks are ridiculously overpowered, especially contagion, and the last mission was a joke with them, but I'm probably not saying anything new there.

Sony and MS have just as much blame for the Last Gen fiasco as CDPR, they invested into the game to keep the releases simo.

not really, sleeping dogs came out in fucking 2012 and ran on the ps3, there's zero excuse if you make big promises but are too incompetent to keep them.
besides, I'd wager most people weren't hyped for the 4k resolution and raytracing to begin with, same way they don't give a shit how goofy gta looks sometimes.

Right the two companies that have to certify the games to play on THEIR consoles are completely blameless in this. Well lets hope those lawsuits go through discovery to get the full story on that.

I am so conflicted about this game. I love it, but I hate it. I love the story in the game but I am annoyed about how the main story is too short and missing chunks that could expand it.
I love Night city, but I hate how there ain't much to do. No mini games etc. I love the combat system, but I hate how easy it gets and how I got over leveled so fast. After level 40, all combat was easy and don't get me started on quick hack. There are so many game breaking bugs and glithest which suck me out of the game which hamper the experience. I had a blast with the game but there is so much "what could have been".
I will return to night city, but not in the near future. Until they have fixed the bugs, glithest and thrown in some dlc, I will stay away.

I haven’t felt the need to go back and finish it since it really sunk in how unbalanced and unfinished it is. Did hacker builds really need to be so good that they render everything else redundant? Why put points into Cool as the ostensible stealth stat when you can blow out cameras, mute comms, render enemies blind or deaf, poison/shock/burn them, or make em just straight up drop dead in the span of about 6 seconds. How did they not have time to edit the description of the gorilla arms if they removed them being able to rip out doors and turrets? Why even put racing sidequests in if anything besides a few of the bikes handle like the fucking Mako from ME1?
Honestly, neither have I. I've put it on 'Very Hard' and I can basically cremate everyone in thirty seconds. They AUTOMATICALLY get weapon jammed, blinded and the insta-kill and electroshock hacks spread to all of them. I've got 3k+ armor because I went into crafting and went into cool for cold blooded, which combined with your insta-murder, builds up crazy fast.

I'm just not interested enough in the story to keep going and with little to no choice or unique missions (kill a guy, retrieve this, go here to listen to cutscene, go kill some guys, listen to cut scene, etc.) there's not much for me there. I've been OP in RPGs before but there were things keeping me interested. Now I have to restrict myself from using certain weapons or abilities just to make things mildly difficult. Otherwise I am HACKERMAN. I just hack one dude, electrocute him, whip out my smart-gun and not even aim, just completely murdering them.

There's no characters you really can influence (outside of Johnny or Romance Y/N) and it seems there's only two paths for characters you can. There doesn't seem to be much variation.

I'm not blaming danger hairs. I'm blaming management. They were the ones in charge, so the blame falls on management.

I was done with the game after they introduced Keanu's character. I don't care about the guy, I think he is an annoyance in the game, he slows down the flow of the game, I can't do shit for 30s because he has to spew some hipsterpunk nonsense that I don't care about.

By the way, how do I stop the game from switching the inhalers everytime I pick one?

I'm just not interested enough in the story to keep going
Same. So far I've spent most of my time exploring the city and doing side missions. It's just as bland as The Division 2.

Biggest complaint I have besides all the cut content and the glitches is how OP it is just dumping everything into INT. If your bad guy hideout has cameras, watch out. All I have to do is hack one and I can just jump from one to another killing you with my constantly recharging super magic spells, and I'm playing on top difficulty. I hate games where I have to actively handicap myself by not using a certain playstyle so that the game isn't too easy.
