Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Improperly loading or just plain crappy texturing seems to be a big issue, judging from the images and videos I've seen.

You'd be surprised (or not) at how many otherwise good-looking games are utterly wrecked by how terribly they handle texture loading.

It definitely kills any immersion when you can watch a vehicle or NPC's features gradually resolve like they're being fuckin' beamed in from the Enterprise.

I was having an argument with one of my friends over Arma 3, and went on Steam Charts to totally ownzone him.
While I was doing that, I remembered Cyberbunk existed for the first time in a month, and curiosity got the best of me.

Still more of a pulse than the infinitely more deserving Titanfall 2.

This is a really weird comparison considering No Man's Sky has been out for nearly 5 years now and doesn't take into account how it took nearly a year before the Atlas Rises update came out and started turning the game around.

Cyberpunk fucking sucks but let's not all start acting like Hello Games didn't take their sweet fucking time to get the game into a decent state.
I might be late but doesn't Hello Games have a team of less than a dozen people?

So that absolves them of not delivering the game they advertised for over a year after release?
Nah man, I'm talking purely about the frequency and speed of updates. All of Hello Games' developers can comfortably fit in a single room together so them taking a year to release a massive overhaul is understandable.

*Massive Overhaul that was advertised to be the launch game.

Read, nigger.

I've read what you've said and it's retarded. There was no speed to their updates, everything takes a year or more to come out for that game. The size of the team is a moot point considering the reports of CDPR devs fleeing more and more as the trashfire continues puts them at an equally understaffed level considering the scopes of the two games.

Nobody should be praising Hello Games cause their game is still boring shit that they sold on a lie. Nobody should expect Cyberpunk to get better because the foundation is awful. Even if they put lipstick on the pig it's still going to be a fucking pig.

I was watching a youtube video when I was finally told what was up with the weird lethality things.

If you hit someone in the head with a blunt weapon, they die instead of getting knocked out.
If you hit someone in the leg (or arm?) with a lethal weapon, they get knocked out instead of dying.

This might be kind of cool if lethality actually did anything.

It only matters with Cyberpsychos because you have to take them alive.

Even then I just shot them all up with guns and somehow kept them all alive, the system really was completely half-assed (much like the rest of the game).

There was also that one quest where you have to rescue the monk and he asks you to leave the enemies alive.

All he does is get upset at you and you still get the reward if you murder malestrom lol. There's no reason to go nonlethal.

I built my new rig and haven't even bothered to reinstall it to finish.

I know that game developers hate locking players out of content, but it really makes no sense for the monk to hire a V that has been killing everyone.

But maybe that’s just me wishing that there would be room for role playing in a game that was initially advertised as such before being dumbed down.

Do you tho? Does it actually change anything if you don't?
I'm not sure and I don't much care, because non-lethal is fucking useless (also you can take all cyber psychos down with a single hack if you invested in that tree, you don't even need to fight them).

you mean the world that should respond to your actions according to the ps4 trailer? huh.

cyberpsychos have a flag to not be killable until they are downed, killing them hardly matters and the end of that quest chain is meeting the fixer for a talk. huge fucking reward that is.

there's lazy loading too where assets can become glitchy.
