Dramacow "Daddy" Derek Savage - Creator of Cool Cat Saves the Kids

I just did a reading of Mr. Savage's first chapter of "Midnight Stripper" and my God is it bad.

1. Everything has to be explicitly stated
2. He goes off on random tangents that make no sense to the character.
3. The gender stereotypes are on par with Chris Chan
4. His character has an extremely bloated view of himself, possibly a self insert.
5. His metaphors are so lacking or cliche that I was rolling my eyes half way through.

Cool Cat reminds me of Rotten Ralph for some reason.

I do wonder what Erik and Vivican thought of doing this movie. They seemed like they tried to "enjoy" their roles.

Hearing Cool Cat speak. It sounds like either the suit actor is speaking in it, since it sounds so muffled.

CoolCat should be a little more careful what he retweets

He is. You'd probably really like the YMS review if you haven't seen it. The actor taps his suit mic and it's really funny.
The review cheered me up so much.

I did enjoy the YMS review of it. He showed the flaws of the whole thing as well.

Also with the suit I noticed one thing.

At times, Cool Cat's tail is floppy. Other times it's up like a cartoon cat's. Hence when he was dancing with his radio, his tail got caught in the rose bushes.

I am kind of disappointed to see Derek Savage going full lolcow. I watched the YMS review several times and Derek left a comment there, he didn't seem to really have major issues with the review aside from the pedo-rapist jokes

I think that may have flown over his head or that he didn't give a simple shit about it.

Yeah, that saddens me too. It just feels like he flew off the handle way too suddenly. If I were him, I'd probably take it in stride and only go after the ones that were causing problems. Last I checked, IHE didn't do anything all that different than YMS or any of the others that reviewed/poked fun at the movie.

Apparently he outright called Derek Savage a pedophile and psychopath, if some of the other forumites are right.

As I said, that's going a little too far, but it doesn't make what Derek did all right.

Ah. See, I never saw the video, so I'm kinda out of the loop on what started Daddy Derek's rampage.

But still, while IHE may have been out of line, he's not entirely wrong either (at least, with the psychopath part). Considering one of his novels is titled "Devil President" and all.

I don't think he's a full-blown psychopath - not at the moment, anyhow...

"Devil President" is like Left Behind, except even worse written.

While we're on the topic of how ironic it is the creator of Cool Cat- film about the evils of cyberbullying- is himself cyberbullying people who criticize him, I wanted to point else something out. Adam of YMS made a great point in saying how shitty it is that Coot Cat and other characters frequently use "you have no friends!" as an insult and how they accuse Butch the Bully of not having any friends because his personality sucks. In reality, it's bullied children who are often alone because people don't want to associate with them lest they also get picked on; also, bullies often travel in packs, which makes it even harder for bullied kids to defend themselves or make friends because they're outnumbered.

Now, we all know that the only people who have seen Cool Cat are adults who are watching it ironically, but can you imagine how shitty it would feel to be a kid and have Cool Cat insinuate that you're alone because you're obviously a no-good bully? I thought Cool Cat was supposed to love everyone.

As one Youtube commenter eloquently put it, "Cool Cat fucking hates you if you're overweight or don't have any friends."
