He seems to be fixated on the idea that profiting from something voids fair use entirely. A whole lot of waffle from a condescending wikipedia scholar.
Not only that but he talks about how well he is doing out of these reviews, more sales, more t-shirts and the like. He should be happy enough that anybody gives a crap about his awful movie, not going after the people promoting it.
Jesus, I thought he talked like an idiot (high pitch and pretending) in the movie because "for the kids", but now I understand he wasn't acting and he's just THIS out of touch with reality just like in the movie, creepy.
Why are you being so mean Derek?, why are you against fair use and opinions?, why Derek... wait, could it be?:
Remember to get your own copy of the movie though, only $9.99
So after watching that whole... thing I am now certain that the following will happen:
IHE and all the other channels will counter-notify the DMCA takedown notice (if they haven't already)
Youtube will reinstate the videos
Daddy Derek flips his lid something fierce
DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING
That guy is convinced people like him and his mooveeh unironically and thinks the law is on his side on this one. Once he gets told that he has been wrong he will ragequit the internet.

Or maybe Daddy Derek will do something daft and drag this before a Judge. I can't see it happening at all, but 'Cool Cat's Day in Court' would no doubt be a fun adventure.
First off, love how Derek blocked the video on other sites. Now onto the video itself (I'm commenting as it goes, so forgive me if it gets lost over most you):
1. "I don't want to give any publicity." Bull to the shit.
2. He's calling people punks for lying about copyright. Pretty sure he's secretly referring to himself considering his behavior as of late.
3. Last I checked, his e-mails were far from nice, and outright mocked the people (like IHE) for even thinking about trying to settle this in a calm and peaceful matter. In other words, he's the instigator for a good chunk of that's been happening as of late.
4. YMS is liking Cool Cat ironically, how the fuck does "Daddy" not know this? Has he even seen the rest of his videos? Hell, has he even seen the reviews YMS has made?
5. Uh, Derek, I'm pretty sure Cool Cat wouldn't endorse the behavior you're putting on display. If anything, he'd probably call you out on it. Then what? Would you disown him?
6. "You're being milked like a fat cow." I think what IHE was saying is that this situation, and the way you're handling it is going to be milked until you give up and relent. And as I don't see that happening, I wish you luck before you run out.
7. "I'm too busy working to search the web." Yet not too busy to get into internet drama, I see.
8. Mothers e-mailed him? How many of you are willing to suspect that those were simply trolls trying to get a rise out of him?
9. Does this count as new content?
10. The way he talks makes me wonder if he has some mild form of either autism or redneck. And from the sounds of it, perhaps even both.
11. If it's the anti-bullying and anti-gun movie, then why the fuck did you need to make more than onemovie on those subjects?
12. Notice how he doesn't bring up the point in the film where Cool Cat tells the kids about crossing safety, only to be a hypocrite about it not two minutes later. Either Derek didn't notice that fuck up, or doesn't care about kids and adults getting hit by moving vehicles.
13. Selling more T-shirts and DVDs isn't necessarily a good thing. For all you know, many of them are people who, as retaliation, bought them to make fun of.
14. The truth? I'm pretty sure we've seen the truth so far, and it isn't pretty on your end. (good god, and I'm only 7 minutes in the video)
15. "Good will always whup lies and evil." That's something I'd expect in a shitty comic book (Or in a review of AT4W as a joke), not an actual thing a grown man genuinely said to the people against him.
16. Oh it's entertaining all right, but for all the wrong reasons.
17. Last I checked, Derek. Most copyright laws aren't written by middle schoolers. If anything, the government has a better idea of copyright than you do. And their idea is shit.
18. Yeah Derek, that's what copyright law is. If someone does have their own opinion of the piece of work and edits it to the point of being able to call it your own. Then yes, it is fair use.
19. I'm seriously wondering if Derek even passed his classes, seeing as it feels like he's been living under a rock for the past several years.
20. "Ignorance of the law, is no excuse." Then heed your own advice.
21. An example of case law. Note that the winner wasn't the original copyright holder.
22. "I'm a very moralistic type of man." Moral of the story: threatening people with lawsuits that'd probably get thrown out is the right thing to do.
23. Do note that most of these quotes are coming from a man who threatened to dox a well-known (British) YouTube reviewer all in the name of US copyright law and 4Chan tactics. Think about that for a second.
24. "There's right, and there's wrong. There's no middle ground..." Goody, he's adopted the Chris-Chan mentality of thinking. (It was at this point I skipped the video a few minutes, because otherwise, I'd be here all night)
25. Right after he says he's going to show off some fair use cases, he shows off one that ultimately benefited both sides (with them splitting the profits with each other). Nor was actually settled in court. On top of that, the article even says that "Garcia's work could have never reached the level of fame it did if not for Fairey's poster." Then he claims that AP won and tries to act all smug while claiming it's a victory for them when in reality, worked for both sides. 0/10, try harder Derek.
26. And after that, he shows off another (and actual) court case of fair use. But this time, it's a case that hasn't even reached a conclusion. It's like the man has literally no idea what he's talking about (as if you hadn't already realized that yet. And again, skipped ahead a few minutes).
27. Oh hey, he finally found a court case that actually resulted in the copyright owners winning outright. Third time's the charm I guess.
28. You spin me right round baby, right round... We get it, IHE is Satan and you're Jesus. When in reality it's the opposite.
29. If by "Reached out" you mean threaten someone over the internet with the law equivalent of a death threat, then yeah. You sure did reach out to him, all right.
30.
tl;dr: Derek is an idiot and a hypocrite, and clearly has no idea what he's gotten himself into.
Or maybe Daddy Derek will do something daft and drag this before a Judge. I can't see it happening at all, but 'Cool Cat's Day in Court' would no doubt be a fun adventure.
