Day 5: Slept all day and now I feel like shit edition.

I wanna do this, but I want requests so I can feel like I’m contributing.

@ me with whatcha want with reference! I don’t promise amazing quality but I do promise it’ll be done.
Make a part 2 of my little gag comic.

Day 3:
I haven't been in the drawing mood today. But I made a Battletech sketch and tried a more exaggerated art style.

I suck at drawing water and trees and I hope to improve in the future.
Its supposed to be a Mad Cat Mark IV fighting a Mercenary unit about to step on an elemental power armor. The Mark IV had 360 degree missile pods to flex with.

There's a scrapped Hunchback to the right and The Lancemates are to the left in a Raven and Kodiak.

*Edited to add that this is Day 5*
Just a shittly lil doodle of a hopefully very cool idea, the place I work will supply me with a steady stream of busted aluminium bats and I want to use paper clay or some other sculptable material to make Madballs style art bats. At the very least I'll make one and see how it works out.

Day 4 and today was a really bad day. Due to time constrains i had to rush this one out a bit, as well as trying something new i think i fucked it up quite a lot. But it's bound to happen nonetheless and i can't stop kicking myself for it.

The hands look like crap (and too small. I'm still struggling to do proper hand proportions) but the general gesture and proportions are ok and i really enjoyed doing the expression. Every time i hit a hurdle like this i remember how far i am from the level i want. But the way is where the joy is.
Day Seven (woooooo!)

I'm doing a little career advancement schmoozing later today, so I probably won't have time to draw something new. This is a WIP of something I'm currently working on in my free time, so the finished product may very well become a later entry to this thread.

Damn, those clothing details are great. I need to do more clothing studies of my own tbh. Also, amazing work on the quilted vest.

I think pretty much everyone struggles with hands.

Day seven, please don't watch Higurashi Gou/Sotsu ever.

Man I fucking love hands, realized I loved them while drawing a bunch of them one random day. I'll show off my handz skillz some day, when I have the time to draw more than just doodlez.

I've shared this with friends and they've all said the same thing! Fabrics are a bit of a strong suit for me, since I like to draw loose clothing. I appreciate it all the same (the vest is called a gambeson, by the way).

As for your issues with hands... I find that good general rule of thumb is to make them roughly the size of the human face, from chin to brow. Take that with a grain of salt though, since I have long fingers and fairly large hands irl

Yeah, that's about right. Also helps to see them as rectangular when you're sketching them, then you can later on see them as wrinkled hotdogs than just ripe sausages.

But that's just me.
