It amazes me that a fan base that prides itself on being "intelligent" would blindly defend their favorite show's creator without a second thought no matter how much he acts like an obnoxious cunt.
I remember hearing back when he was writing Community that the reason Britta severly degraded as a character (and embarrassing shit kept happening to her) was just to get back at an ex-girlfiend he was mad at. Pathetic.

It's been a while since I've seen it but I'm pretty sure they found something like anybody who has some piece of star trek media in their collection is more likely to be a pedo than somebody who doesn't, and that's about as far as the correlation goes.
Speaking with Den of Geek at the Tribeca Film Festival after the premiere of Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss by Passing Through the Gateway Chosen by the Holy Storch, Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon provided an update on the ongoing contract negotiations holding up the Season 4 renewal of the Adult Swim series. No, Rick and Morty Season 4 hasn’t been cancelled, but negotiations are far from over, due to what Harmon calls “an unprecedented situation.”
“I’m optimistic right now,” Harmon told Den of Geek. “Negotiations are tough. It’s an unprecedented situation, and everybody’s being real cool and wants to make an agreement happen so that we can get started. That’s about all I can say.”
Subsequent reveals from Harmon and Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland (who created and voices both of the titular characters) put the responsibility on Turner Broadcasting System, Adult Swim’s parent company. “ Nobody is unaware of the show’s impact or financial value. No amount of picket signs or hashtags or tantrums will ‘awaken’ anyone to jack shit. Suits gonna suit. The rest of us gonna wait,” Harmon said.
The “unprecedented situation” could be the corporate response to the immense and unexpected popularity of Rick and Morty, premiering as part of the typically cult Adult Swim lineup, or something else entirely.

Perhaps harmon is demanding more $$$ as R&M popularity grow's.... or having a secret fight with Roland about said shmecklels.... Either way, i like to think Harmon is being a uncooperative douche here, and pretty much lying about what's going on. Who knows?.... I kind of see this turning into a John K situation in the future. A shame really, as (sadly) without Harmon, this show will be shit. I do not see Roland handling this thing by himself, unless he invites say, Alex Hirsch or someone with creative connections to him to take over Harmon's posistion if and when he gets fired/leaved/gets arrested/whatever comes first.....
Idk if this got brought up but I have some friends that got fucked over by Dan Harmon being a piece of shit. So way back when, my friends who do a podcast paid a ton of money to some kickstarter for the HarmonTown podcast or something. On of the things they would get was a recorded jingle for them to use or whatever. So they pay what I believe was a few hundred dollars. Harmon sings the song on his show. It's very half assed but whatever, it's a song. They wants the copy of the song sent to them. Harmon says he'll send it and never does. My friends aren't hounding him for it, but 8 months to a year after they were supposed to get it and them reminding he was supposed to send this song to him, no song. He gets real pissy and goes on one of his crazy rants about how they're ungrateful and unfair. Harmon talks about how he's the punished one and blah blah blah. I forget if he refunded them the money or not but they went from loyal fans to pretty much thinking he's scum.

IIRC Tara Strong accidentally confirmed that there's really no problem with season 4's production, the supposed real reason for all this hoopla is Dannyboy is demanding more and more from adult swim to make R&M which they're not happy with, so he's attempting to create a fake controversy to make his rabid fans chimp out on AS online in an attempt to strongarm them into bending over backwards for him.

Yeah, it's money. Dan's not a particularly diplomatic man, if there was even a fraction of a chance he blamed Roiland, he'd make it obvious every chance he got.
