Chomo Dan's wasn't as bad as Townshend. The stuff he uploaded to 8ch was legal in the United States. It was creepy, and exactly the kind of material pedophiles like to keep around precisely because it gives them something legal to masturbate to, kind of like Michael Jackson's collection of child-naturist magazines.Couldn't have written it any better. I've been on the darker side of the internet for 10 years, maybe more than that it was sometime during the Project Chanology/Scientology fiasco. And yet I don't know how to find vile images of children. Because I'm not a perv.
It's not like Google will just happily find you kiddy porn, you gotta be hunting for that shit. Dan Olsen falls into the same category of weirdness as Pete Townsend of The Who.
Townshend straight up paid for access to watching child rape online with a credit card. He came up with some obviously phony cover story about his motivations. I'm pretty sure he was telling the truth about being sexually abused. But most rockers of his time were sleeping with underage groupies. Songs about older men fucking underage girls (even the ones who prefered boys didn't sing about boys) were a staple of rock and roll for decades, and the affairs many rockers had with underage girls -- and boys, in the cases such as Michael Jackson's -- are a matter of record. There's no reason why anyone on Earth should give Townshend the benefit of the doubt.
But, if I'm not mistaken, the images Olsen downloaded and reposted to 8ch WERE illegal in Canada, which is his home country. The whole thing is extremely funny, disgusting, and despicable.
