They act like it, despite becoming increasingly corporate. I'd also argue their business plan and structure are similar: They don't (or rather I doubt they) chase a conventional P&L, instead 'something else' (classical startup you chase revenue at any cost, for them it's likely a viewership/rev mix), they are partly beholden to outside money (instead of a conventional VC it's Amazon or whoever paying for shows), etc, etc. I'd actually argue that bringing in other youtubers rather than Amazon 'media people' for an outside look is a better move. It's not a good move by any stretch, but...

They have their own 'tube? I looked around but couldn't find it. That would be an utterly moronic decision for all the reasons you correctly state.

Sure, but once you grow you have to make changes. A startup is do or die on their one product, no need to consider cutting losses since you're all in no matter what. But once you're at the stage you have multiple projects (youtube channel, candy bars, game show) you have to add layers. That they act like it was what i was critizing.

Im not saying consultants are ideal, but if you have a connection to amazon, why not make use of their resources? If I was working with millions and season 1 of my show didnt get a good reception, I would like to get some advisors.

No, i was referring to another video Dan did on a youtube competitor that was spun up. I cant find it (dunno if he hid it, or it has just a weird name. but basically the video was

It doesn't help that, if he was born around 1980-1982 like I've seen some report, it means he's now more or less 45 years old and that's around the time aging comes in and begins throwing you off a cliff

That's a rough 45 years old, not that Doug is much better, but at least Doug looks happy which likely helps him. Dan is a miserable prick with no morals given he knew about Jew Wario being a possible rapist along with attempting to post CP to 8-Chan to get it banned during GG.

Doug Walker is pretty rough too. Wisely, he has avoided the pitfalls of Dan by shaving every single but of hair except a small goatee

If he insisted on the bearded look Dan is going for he'd look just as bad

His part in that scheme was to pretend to "find" something he described as CP. Technically it probably would have passed muster in the U.S. but would be illegal even to look for in Canada. It was probably actual pedophile tranny Nicholas "Sarah Butts" Nyberg who actually posted it.
