This might be a retarded question, but if Canadian law classes swimsuit pictures as CP, does that mean Neverending Story II is banned there due to the scene at the swimming pool? I'm guessing it's more about context, such as creeper shots etc.

I get the feeling he's that guy that gets pulled into a group of friends because (initially) you feel sorry for him, and by the time you realize what a despicable shitheel he is you can't figure out a way to cut him loose.

For those that don't know, there was a secret anti-Gamergate chat group assembled sometime after Gamergate happened in August 2014, it was on IRC chats, Google Hangouts, and Skype before moving to slack/Discord/whatever as time progressed and their paranoia prompted them to try and find a more secure service. In early 2015, many members of this group transitioned into the volunteers for Zoe Quinn's scam Crash Override Network, and after that died in early 2016 some of the former members of CON and this chat group began speaking out about it. One of them even leaked logs from when the group was using Skype dating from late December 2014 and early January 2015.

Dan Olson was revealed as a member of this group, which also included Chelsea Van Valkenburg/Zoe Quinn herself, Jake Alley aka secretgamergirl, self-declared pedophile Nicholas 'sarah butts' Nyberg, and some other fucked up people. The group, Dan included, actually bent over backwards to cover up for Nyberg after his history of pedophilia was uncovered. For instance, the group was using a Trello to organize themselves and paint targets for them to collectively go after, including 8chan, various people who had been supporting Gamergate (some were even targeted for tweeting at a member of the group just one time), and Encyclopedia Dramatica. In a Trello entry from February 2nd, 2015 you can see they were still going after ED for daring to have made an article about Nyberg months before (the group also filed online police reports against someone for tweeting a link to the article).

The following excerpt from the leaked Skype chat shows the group had been targeting 8chan since at least early September 2014, because Gamergate was using the image board after 4chan decided users weren't allowed to talk about it there.

On December 23rd, 2014, we can see they made an "incident" entry on the Trello involving Dan Olson's Medium blog where he had downloaded what he himself claimed to be child pornography in an attempt to attack 8chan. You would think if Olson and the rest of the group actually cared about potential child victims of pedophiles that they would be discussing ways to signal boost to anti-sex trafficking groups or donate to victim support groups, but no, this was just about Gamergate.

I don't think anyone has ever specifically looked for Dan's activity in the Skype logs, so we're going to take a look. Note that the logs are I believe 13 hours ahead of EST time zone and seem to be 15 ahead of Dan's location, and "drinternetphd" is Zoe Quinn. I will also be pruning the copy-pasted logs a bit to remove lines that are unrelated to Dan, and including the archive link to the log so you can see the full thing if you wish. I believe every single chat archive from the leak contains some activity from Dan (even on Christmas), I won't be including every single comment from him as a lot is dull like him talking about his sewing machine or random video games.
This first batch looks to be from December 22nd, 2014 and we can find Dan celebrating! that he had finished the Medium post. He mentions being able to close his tabs and specifically mentions /hebe/, the board that he used as evidence in the blog post and the board which is tied to Wesley "Laurelai" Bailey as the board owner linked to a site hosted on Laurelai's server alongside his other sites such as SJWiki. Disturbingly, we see Olson thank "Ms. Butts" aka pedophile Nick Nyberg for tweeting out the Medium article, and based off this and later log entries they seem to be quite friendly with each other. (At this point I don't think anyone knew what Nyberg really was, not that it changed anything for Dan and the others when the sick truth came out) http://archive.is/G2531

It turned out that downloading what Dan himself labeled as child porn, editing it, and the uploading it to Medium, all to antagonize and attack Gamergate, was not the smartest thing to do. People started calling for Dan to be reported to Canadian law enforcement and Dan said he was going to "pre-emptively call" the RCMP. You can also see Nyberg, the self-admitted pedophile, squirming because 8chan users were working on doxing him in response to him tweeting out Dan's Medium blog and provoking them.

It's worth stressing here that this was all being conducted in secrecy, nobody outside the chat group knew it existed until 2016, although there were suspicions of course. They started having panic attacks and planning on doing "monitor duty," with Zoe herself saying she would be "keeping an eye on" Dan and Nyberg.

In the "serious" chat, Dan excitedly talked about Gamergate "melting down." I haven't looked up the other chat member's tweets about the article, but we can see the first one, Nyberg's up above, where he explicitly included #gamergate, so it is weird that Dan is acting like his blog has nothing to do with Gamergate. According to Dan, this attack should have been the "'perfect' chance" for Gamergate to "distance itself" and "feign concern" (because, after months of dehumanizing them, "GG" is now just a hivemind for him) and he doesn't understand why people were reacting as if it was an attack on them, while he is sitting in two invite-only chat rooms with Zoe Quinn.

Dan believed he wasn't going to get in trouble for viewing, downloading, and then uploading edited images of what he considered CP, claiming that Canada's "protections for investigative reporting" would protect him. (The "Rob" seen in these logs is Rob Marmolejo, as with others he went on to be part of Crash Override Network, and was accused of sexually harassing at least twenty women, possibly getting their contact info through CON. )

Dan Olson perfectly exemplifies everything I can not understand about the SJW side of the political spectrum.

You will go out of your way to try and destroy people that oppose you.

You try to shame and guilt people into compliance.

You will cover up for someone on your side when they do wrong because it gives the other side ammunition.

And you act like a pseudointellectual piece of garbage while your at it.

With all of that, it never dawns on you that maybe what you're doing is wrong and how you are going about getting your message out there is wrong.

I mean if your ideas were truly better than those that oppose you, then you wouldn't have to do all this garbage to take them down and you could just let them hang themselves with their own words.

And in cases like the Jewwario situation, how am I supposed to respect you if you openly admit to hiding the truth because it would give the other side legitimacy? So destroying your opponents is more important than protecting victims? That's disgusting.

So yeah. he stands for women and protects rape victims...as long as they weren't assaulted by someone on his side! And the fact that he completely lacks the self awareness to see how hypocritical this mindset is infuriates me.

For those that don't know, there was a secret anti-Gamergate chat group assembled sometime after Gamergate happened in August 2014, it was on IRC chats, Google Hangouts, and Skype before moving to slack/Discord/whatever as time progressed and their paranoia prompted them to try and find a more secure service. In early 2015, many members of this group transitioned into the volunteers for Zoe Quinn's scam Crash Override Network, and after that died in early 2016 some of the former members of CON and this chat group began speaking out about it. One of them even leaked logs from when the group was using Skype dating from late December 2014 and early January 2015.

Dan Olson was revealed as a member of this group, which also included Chelsea Van Valkenburg/Zoe Quinn herself, Jake Alley aka secretgamergirl, self-declared pedophile Nicholas 'sarah butts' Nyberg, and some other fucked up people. The group, Dan included, actually bent over backwards to cover up for Nyberg after his history of pedophilia was uncovered. For instance, the group was using a Trello to organize themselves and paint targets for them to collectively go after, including 8chan, various people who had been supporting Gamergate (some were even targeted for tweeting at a member of the group just one time), and Encyclopedia Dramatica. In a Trello entry from February 2nd, 2015 you can see they were still going after ED for daring to have made an article about Nyberg months before (the group also filed online police reports against someone for tweeting a link to the article).

The following excerpt from the leaked Skype chat shows the group had been targeting 8chan since at least early September 2014, because Gamergate was using the image board after 4chan decided users weren't allowed to talk about it there.

On December 23rd, 2014, we can see they made an "incident" entry on the Trello involving Dan Olson's Medium blog where he had downloaded what he himself claimed to be child pornography in an attempt to attack 8chan. You would think if Olson and the rest of the group actually cared about potential child victims of pedophiles that they would be discussing ways to signal boost to anti-sex trafficking groups or donate to victim support groups, but no, this was just about Gamergate.

I don't think anyone has ever specifically looked for Dan's activity in the Skype logs, so we're going to take a look. Note that the logs are I believe 13 hours ahead of EST time zone and seem to be 15 ahead of Dan's location, and "drinternetphd" is Zoe Quinn. I will also be pruning the copy-pasted logs a bit to remove lines that are unrelated to Dan, and including the archive link to the log so you can see the full thing if you wish. I believe every single chat archive from the leak contains some activity from Dan (even on Christmas), I won't be including every single comment from him as a lot is dull like him talking about his sewing machine or random video games.
This first batch looks to be from December 22nd, 2014 and we can find Dan celebrating! that he had finished the Medium post. He mentions being able to close his tabs and specifically mentions /hebe/, the board that he used as evidence in the blog post and the board which is tied to Wesley "Laurelai" Bailey as the board owner linked to a site hosted on Laurelai's server alongside his other sites such as SJWiki. Disturbingly, we see Olson thank "Ms. Butts" aka pedophile Nick Nyberg for tweeting out the Medium article, and based off this and later log entries they seem to be quite friendly with each other. (At this point I don't think anyone knew what Nyberg really was, not that it changed anything for Dan and the others when the sick truth came out) http://archive.is/G2531

It turned out that downloading what Dan himself labeled as child porn, editing it, and the uploading it to Medium, all to antagonize and attack Gamergate, was not the smartest thing to do. People started calling for Dan to be reported to Canadian law enforcement and Dan said he was going to "pre-emptively call" the RCMP. You can also see Nyberg, the self-admitted pedophile, squirming because 8chan users were working on doxing him in response to him tweeting out Dan's Medium blog and provoking them.

It's worth stressing here that this was all being conducted in secrecy, nobody outside the chat group knew it existed until 2016, although there were suspicions of course. In the "serious" chat, Dan excitedly talked about Gamergate "melting down." I haven't looked up the other chat member's tweets about the article, but we can see the first one, Nyberg's up above, where he explicitly included #gamergate, so it is weird that Dan is acting like his blog has nothing to do with Gamergate. According to Dan, this attack should have been the "'perfect' chance" for Gamergate to "distance itself" and "feign concern" (because, after months of dehumanizing them, "GG" is now just a hivemind for him) and he doesn't understand why people were reacting as if it was an attack on them, while he is sitting in two invite-only chat rooms with Zoe Quinn.

For those that don't know, there was a secret anti-Gamergate chat group assembled sometime after Gamergate happened in August 2014, it was on IRC chats, Google Hangouts, and Skype before moving to slack/Discord/whatever as time progressed and their paranoia prompted them to try and find a more secure service. In early 2015, many members of this group transitioned into the volunteers for Zoe Quinn's scam Crash Override Network, and after that died in early 2016 some of the former members of CON and this chat group began speaking out about it. One of them even leaked logs from when the group was using Skype dating from late December 2014 and early January 2015.

Dan Olson was revealed as a member of this group, which also included Chelsea Van Valkenburg/Zoe Quinn herself, Jake Alley aka secretgamergirl, self-declared pedophile Nicholas 'sarah butts' Nyberg, and some other fucked up people. The group, Dan included, actually bent over backwards to cover up for Nyberg after his history of pedophilia was uncovered. For instance, the group was using a Trello to organize themselves and paint targets for them to collectively go after, including 8chan, various people who had been supporting Gamergate (some were even targeted for tweeting at a member of the group just one time), and Encyclopedia Dramatica. In a Trello entry from February 2nd, 2015 you can see they were still going after ED for daring to have made an article about Nyberg months before (the group also filed online police reports against someone for tweeting a link to the article).

The following excerpt from the leaked Skype chat shows the group had been targeting 8chan since at least early September 2014, because Gamergate was using the image board after 4chan decided users weren't allowed to talk about it there.

On December 23rd, 2014, we can see they made an "incident" entry on the Trello involving Dan Olson's Medium blog where he had downloaded what he himself claimed to be child pornography in an attempt to attack 8chan. You would think if Olson and the rest of the group actually cared about potential child victims of pedophiles that they would be discussing ways to signal boost to anti-sex trafficking groups or donate to victim support groups, but no, this was just about Gamergate.

I don't think anyone has ever specifically looked for Dan's activity in the Skype logs, so we're going to take a look. Note that the logs are I believe 13 hours ahead of EST time zone and seem to be 15 ahead of Dan's location, and "drinternetphd" is Zoe Quinn. I will also be pruning the copy-pasted logs a bit to remove lines that are unrelated to Dan, and including the archive link to the log so you can see the full thing if you wish. I believe every single chat archive from the leak contains some activity from Dan (even on Christmas), I won't be including every single comment from him as a lot is dull like him talking about his sewing machine or random video games.
This first batch looks to be from December 22nd, 2014 and we can find Dan celebrating! that he had finished the Medium post. He mentions being able to close his tabs and specifically mentions /hebe/, the board that he used as evidence in the blog post and the board which is tied to Wesley "Laurelai" Bailey as the board owner linked to a site hosted on Laurelai's server alongside his other sites such as SJWiki. Disturbingly, we see Olson thank "Ms. Butts" aka pedophile Nick Nyberg for tweeting out the Medium article, and based off this and later log entries they seem to be quite friendly with each other. (At this point I don't think anyone knew what Nyberg really was, not that it changed anything for Dan and the others when the sick truth came out) http://archive.is/G2531

It turned out that downloading what Dan himself labeled as child porn, editing it, and the uploading it to Medium, all to antagonize and attack Gamergate, was not the smartest thing to do. People started calling for Dan to be reported to Canadian law enforcement and Dan said he was going to "pre-emptively call" the RCMP. You can also see Nyberg, the self-admitted pedophile, squirming because 8chan users were working on doxing him in response to him tweeting out Dan's Medium blog and provoking them.

It's worth stressing here that this was all being conducted in secrecy, nobody outside the chat group knew it existed until 2016, although there were suspicions of course. They started having panic attacks and planning on doing "monitor duty," with Zoe herself saying she would be "keeping an eye on" Dan and Nyberg.

In the "serious" chat, Dan excitedly talked about Gamergate "melting down." I haven't looked up the other chat member's tweets about the article, but we can see the first one, Nyberg's up above, where he explicitly included #gamergate, so it is weird that Dan is acting like his blog has nothing to do with Gamergate. According to Dan, this attack should have been the "'perfect' chance" for Gamergate to "distance itself" and "feign concern" (because, after months of dehumanizing them, "GG" is now just a hivemind for him) and he doesn't understand why people were reacting as if it was an attack on them, while he is sitting in two invite-only chat rooms with Zoe Quinn.

The logic they operated under was the same as the Crusades:

"If we are fighting what we deem evil incarnate, how can any act taken against it be wrong?"

Therefore, with that premise, they had a built-in excuse to perform the most fucked up and despicable acts and could absolve themselves of any guilt in advance.

SF is Aaron Simpson, in quite possibly an act of karma relating to his behavior towards Gamergaters, his partner of 13 years cheated on him with another man and left Aaron less than a year after he decided to Stan for serial cheater Zoe Quinn. Diggers screencapped a Facebook conversation which Dan said shouldn't have been public, where he had told someone to call one of his former co-workers. The chat speculated that people would try to social engineer Dan's info out of the co-worker, Dan planned to call him and see if they had info on the correct Ron, and then had to ask the chat if he should warn the guy that his info had been posted online. Dan also commented on his alleged CP being "technically legal," saying that if that is the case it "protects [him] more than them" and then said the "environment" and "context" "pushes their technically legal into crime time."

I've always found it slightly ironic that social justice types seem to have such a fondness for cats, because at heart, cats are essentially their polar opposites. They're 100% carnivorous, they kill for sport, they actively oppress and terrorize the weaker members of their species, and on top of all that, they're also fiercely territorial and distrusting of outsiders.

I know that cats are incapable of forming political opinions, but let's be honest here, they're basically cute and cuddly fascists.

We continue our jaunt through the secret anti-Gamergate chat group's logs, the following took place on Christmas Day and Boxing Day 2014. Dan was planning on "quietly" leaving Channel Awesome after they got pissed off at him after they had been getting emails about Dan's involvement with CP.

This is early in the AM on Christmas Day, the chat group planned to antagonize Gamergate by buying an ad for Dan's Medium post on /r/KotakuInAction and Dan was extremely willing to throw money at this and pay more if everyone else is too cheap to pitch in, even going so far as to say "Folding Ideas" will "cover the spread." Note some of the comments where the participants admit they are only doing this to 'be an asshole to nerds' and act like "glorious assholes" and "dicks." They did end up paying for it but because they dreamt up this idea at like 1 AM EST on Christmas morning, the ad wouldn't be up until the 26th.

He was afraid of TGWTG turning into a "victory totem" for Gamergate if they canned him for involving himself with CP.
