On a similar note, isn’t it interesting how much you can actually get away with if you’re “one of them”? I mentioned this in the TGWTG thread, but a lot of people that were pro-GG have moved on, myself included. The only reason that the friends I met through GG even bring it up anymore is when idiots like Dan bring it up.

He's a Clinical Psychology professor who sounds like Kermit the Frog and frequently talks about Postmodernism in a disparaging way, this includes going against current prevailing Cultural Marxist mood, and thus, you will find a lot of cows railing against him, and I'm pretty sure that ResetEra thinks of him as a persona non grata (NeoGAF discusses him freely though, with Tyler himself joining in).

I don't have the highest opinion of Jordan Peterson, because I find that his rhetoric attracts a lot of pseuds who get offended at the concept of universities teaching liberal ideas at all. But it's hard to deny that he's as influential as he is because he's a skilled, socially conscious communicator, and that threatens the people who think they should just be able to circlejerk about being right and magically win. Take Olson, for instance, who wants to be a socially influential thinker himself, but still talks like he's bullshitting on an essay to impress his professor.
