It's kind of a big problem that the people who need these facilities the most often have such severe behavioral issues they can't manage not to get thrown out of them. So I'm not exactly sure. Such facilities exist but not enough of them to house all the violent tards. If he is relegated to a home, what sort of home would take him as he has been thrown out of several? Are there special ones geared towards more violent nutters that would make sure Larson is kept on his antipsychotics?
Those are two entirely different issues. Competence to stand trial is in the present. An insanity plea is at the time of the crime. You can pass both tests, pass one and fail the other, or fail both.he's "competent" from an obscene amount of anti-psychotics even though he was completely batshit insane when the "crime" occurred. what a sick joke.
He's not getting 65 years. His crime wasn't just the product of mental illness but actively provoked by creeps. They'll take that into account. His best outcome is likely to be something like a high supervision mental facility to see if they can get his brains back between his ears to the point he can behave well enough to get into a more tolerant group home. That is pretty fucked that you can get 65 years in federal prison just for saying some shit. Guys who get caught with a kilo of meth at the Mexican border probably don't even get that long.
The next best is a term of incarceration.
The worst is just being released without supervision.
